"I am impressed that so far posters on this thread are intuitive enough to know his heart and whether or not he is sincere" It's done by watching actions and listening to words. Learn how.. it's useful and fun!

He has already been known as a person who is angry and had problems, not exactly a good role model though many idiot parents thought he was.
Now they know better.

I think all of this coverage is beyond ridiculous.
Really??? A press conference to answer for his cheating???
I could see if it were dealing with his future in golf,but...about his personal life??
Speculation about whether or not his wife will show up; whether or not his mom will speak;whether or not he'll burst into tears....good grief! Enough already!
There's been more coverage and concern about a philandering sports figure than about the five Muslim soldiers who tried to kill as many American soldiers as possible with poison!
I for one an fed up with it all. Sorry about the rant but it's very annoying. The man's a piece of crap who can't keep his zipper up.Let his wife deal with it. After all,he cheated on her, not on us.

Worked hard all his life? He played golf, for crying out loud. The rest of us should “work” so hard.....
To: I see my hands
I thought it was a very good (scripted) apology.
I wonder who wrote it?

At this point only God knows if he is sincere. For the sake of the people he hurt, especially his wife and kids, I do hope he is sincere.

I am so glad everyone on FR is of a sinless nature. Those who go against the Lord will have to atone for thier sins through absolution, or in my case, directly speaking to the Lord. Who are we to judge another man. Make no mistake about it, judge a man, cheat on your wife, there is no difference in the two in the eyes of the Lord.

I know you cant separate his private and public life completely, but to me, his private life is his own. Then he should not be a public figure. Worse, he should not be a adulterer. He brought this on himself.
The bottom line is this:
The whole "event" today was a carefully orchestrated dog and pony show, complete with a crying mother by his side.
The reason people are so angry at Tiger Woods is not necessarily all of the sex with many women, but rather the phony lies he, the media, and his handlers promoted about his clean image.
Today was more of the same phony image tricks.
Tiger Woods hasn't changed at all.

What will get the most press coverage tonight on the News?
Tiger Woods or yesterday’s Domestics Terrorist attack under Obamas watch? And what story will come first? I think you all know the answer to both.

Try swinging different irons and woods three or four hundred times per day, hitting a ball toward a target. It is exhausting. Stamina is something athletes have to work at daily to maintain. The word ‘play’ may be in the job description, but true athletes work hard at their chosen craft. Try telling John Havlichek or Bill Russell that he was only 'playing' and basketball was not work. I doubt seriously that the linemen of the Super Bowl players would agree with your characterizations. Rod Laver, Ken Rosewall, Arthur Ashe, or John Newcombe need to be told they were only playing, right?

"I am so glad everyone on FR is of a sinless nature" One need not be sinless to recognize what is wrong.

Yea Tiger, you’re sorry, as much as a sleaze-ball tightwad could be. A class guy would have bought that young coffee shop waitress a bungalow or a flat, show the girl a bit of respect, but not Tiger Woods. And he’s so rich! It’s a drop in the bucket for him.

Because he’s always acted like he’s a great role model for kids and duped half the country into thinking so despite his issues with rage.
That’s why the public should care....
That said, I don’t think all the attention was justified....much of it went too far.
