I think I agree 100%. His behavior is not the public’s business, except to the extent they are free to watch him or not, follow his endorsements or not, etc.
Dang, with all Mr. Howell’s money you’d think he could hire a proofreader.
This might be the best public apology I’ve ever witnessed.
Bravo to Tiger Woods for being man enough to stand in front of the world and condemn himself.
Frankly I don’t much care one way or another about celebraties’ sweaty little affairs.
Tiger just needs to shut up and play golf.
The msm needs to report facts and nothing else.
tiger didn’t cheat on the public. he misrepresented himself. I’m not looking for an apology.
>>Did he come to you and boast about what a pillar of rectitude he was in order to induce you to sign a contract? NO.<<
I beg to differ. Tiger established himself as a “good” person and held himself you that way. We all make our own personal purchasing decisions based on many factors. Our high opinion of that endorser is on of those factors. Thinking “hey, that Tiger guy is a heck of a golfer and a one of the good folk so I am proud to show how much I like him by buying this Nike cap” is not out of line.
It was deception.
I wish the best for Tiger and his family and I hope he can restructure his life to live up to the idealized person he represented himself to be. I really do.
It’s not the public’s business, we’re free not to buy his products.
He is doing quite well on that isn’t he?
Sure beats Alex Rodriguez and Bill Clinton.
No apology needed except toward his God, himself, and his family.
it is part of his recovery program what we are seeing now on tv
I could care less about Tiger and what he has to say.
Good article, but misses the basic reason for media Tiger obsession - Money.
Sex and scandal sells. It sells magazines, TV ratings, ad revenue, etc. It’s a business. The product being sold is scandal. Doesn’t matter if it’s Clinton, Edwards, Tiger, Michael Jackson, OJ, whoever.
He sounds like an arrogant punk to me
I may be naive but I still hope people can mean what they say and change for the better
Tiger needs to WANT to change.. not just regret getting caught!
Tiger is a manufactured sports hero, manufacture by IMG and their media machine.
Actually, I agree.
