"Obama keeps democratic option open"

Obama announced that he is in the process of writing the legislation that the Dems in the Senate can pass via the reconciliation process by a simple majority of 51 votes. The announcement came in a speech at a Dem fundraiser in Denver for Sen. Michael Bennet (D-CO).

The left should have Obama removed from office for “technical” reasons, get his name and signature eliminated from this Healthcare Initiative.

Start all over, I’m sure something positive for everyone will come out of it.

Rename, repackage, rewrite it a tad smaller, and sell another pig in a poke.

Tennessee has joined several other states in trying to pass a Health Care Freedom Act. NO COLAs for granny, retired Military or retired fed employees. BIG NEW fees for Tricare for Life retired over 65 Military's secondary health ins. (DOD bill already passed, delayed but goes into effect 2011)

New Dem mantra: Woof, woof eat dog food granny....ala let them eat cake.

TRI CARE FOR LIFE This from a google search:

http://economicspolitics.blogspot.com/2009/05/tricare-for-life-is-obama-trying-to.html

This option would help reduce the costs of TFL, as well as costs for Medicare, by introducing minimum out-of pocket requirements for beneficiaries. Under this option, TFL would not cover any of the first $525 of an enrollee’s cost-sharing liabilities for calendar year 2011 and would limit coverage to 50 percent of the next $4,725 in Medicare cost sharing that the beneficiary incurred. (Because all further cost sharing would be covered by TFL, enrollees could not pay more than $2,888 in cost sharing in that year.)

Congress plans to block Tricare fee increases

By Rick Maze - Staff writer, Oct 7, 2009

Tricare fee increases imposed last week by the Defense Department will be repealed by a provision of the compromise 2010 defense authorization bill unveiled Wednesday by House and Senate negotiators.

Snip

The fee increases were announced on Sept. 30 and took effect on Oct. 1, but the defense bill, HR 2647, includes a provision barring any fee increases until the start of fiscal 2011.

Retired Army Maj. Gen. Bill Matz, president of the National Association for Uniformed Services, said the announcement of fee increases was shocking considering that the Obama administration promised earlier this year to hold off on any new fee Tricare fee increases until fiscal 2011.

“President Obama and DoD assured NAUS and the entire military family earlier this year that there would rightly be no increases in any Tricare fees” in fiscal 2010, Matz said. “We took them at their word, and I can’t believe that a co-pay increase like this was allowed to go forward,” he added.

With Brown and Bayh, the handwriting is on the wall for the democrats. The American people don’t want this monstrosity, and voting for it, if it passes, is political suicide.

I don’t think they will get 50 votes in the Senate. They may not get 218 in the House.

While voting for it if it passes is political suicide, voting for it if it defeated is not. My best guess is that the Dems in the Senate will play their political kabuki theater; they will make sure this is not a “reconcilliation” and that it is subject to filibuster, then let the GOP filibuster it. That way the GOP is “the party of no,” but the public doesn’t take out its anger on democrats for a bill that didn’t pass.

The dems get the best of all worlds. The GOP looks bad, they can appease their leftist masters, and they don’t face a backlash from angry voters.

Obama announced that he is in the process of writing the legislation

Since when does the POTUS write legislation?

Let me fix that sentence so it tells the truth:

Obama announced that he is his lackeys in are the process of writing the legislation

“By piggybacking the legislation onto a budget bill, Democrats would be able to advance the bill with a simple majority of just 51 votes”

This gambit won’t poll well.

You know, if this is true, the Pubs should show up on the 25th and scream bloody murder about what a farce that meeting is, since the real work on health care takeover continues fast and furious behind closed dooors.

Since when does the executive branch write legislation? I thought that was the job of the Senate and House of Representatives.

The Dems must publicly repudiate doing any such thing, or else the GOP must both a) refuse to meet with the Dems for any negotiatians on any topic at all, and b) promise to block any and all legislation that can be filibustered, or be prevented from passing by other means, such as the lack of a quorum.

This is not about abortion, not about health care.

Its about the federal govern, men grabbing a cash flow and then ramming "care" down America's throat and using the IRS to enforce the bill, and to use IRS data as a way to calulate a differential medical fee scale, the more youo have saved, the more you pay.

THESE BASTIDS NEVER QUIT. WHY? THEY KNOW AMERCA DOESN'T WANT IT!

WHY? THEY WANT TOTAL CONTROL OF YOUR LIVES !THATS WHY!

A FREE PEOPLE MUST DENY THEM!!!!! PLEASE!

KILL THE BILL OR WE START ON DEMS.

so if obambam writes it, i reckon there aint much worry about a veto...

'writing' legislation from 1600 Penn Ave should be grounds for impeachment too...

That can only deal with the financial issues, not with the actual 'health care' ones.

The Obama administration keeps putting out these threats, when they well know they cannot pass either the House or Senate Bill.

Republicans need to chain themselves to their desks in the well of the Senate, and continue to filibuster even after the Democrats shut off their microphones.

Now is the time for drastic action and courage. Not next year. If the GOP doesn't grow a spine at this moment in history, and just shrugs and says "Oh, well...." they should be thrown out this fall as well.
