I find it interesting that veteran Democratic pollster Stan Greenberg agrees with my Wednesday Examiner column that if the November elections were held today, Republicans would win control of Congress. As I read Greenberg, hes talking about the House and not necessarily the Senate, in which Republicans chances of winning a majority depend on winning just about all the conceivably close races. And he notes, as I do, that opinion could change between now and November. But Greenbergs column is evidence that one of the Democrats best campaign consultants is reading the numbers much as I do. My sense is that many Democratic politicians and consultants are averting their gaze from these dreadful numbers; perhaps Greenbergs article will wake some of them up.

His Wednesday column Michael Barone refers to:
great article, thanks.
oooo=la-la!
Encouraging, isn’t it. Barone is one of my favorite observers of the political scene.
“My sense is that many Democratic politicians and consultants are averting their gaze from these dreadful numbers; perhaps Greenbergs article will wake some of them up.”
Perhaps if they wake up, they’ll run around flapping their arms for a bit. And then get down to the serious business of scaring old people, scaring blacks, lying about Republicans, casting hopeychangey spells on naive 20 year olds, and, of course, raising the dead to vote.
The GOP has to win in a tidal wave plus get rid of RINOs in the primaries. They will need to impeach you know who with BC or criminal acts in IL. If not then we are screwed.
Nonsense! This is racist right wing propaganda! The ONE will solve all of the world problems.( Jack Daniels might help me about now.)
Bingo...here comes the old “GOP wants Grandma to eat dogfood!” ploy.
If this occurs I can probably cut my BP meds in half or more.
We have to have strong fiscal conservatives elected so that we don’t go off the rails as we did last time. They also have to understand that were the boss not Goldman Sachs.
I think one of the most astute. I listen whenever he (and Krauthammer) speak.
We are screwed unless the GOP shows up with a detailed amd very effective plan, can communicate it effectively to the voters, and take no prisoners in its implementation.. I have the horrible sinking feeling that the GOP wants back into "business as usual"
If not then we are screwed. Indeed.
They will need to impeach you know who with BC or criminal acts in IL
It would delay passage of the corrective legislation. Most unlikely
“Bingo...here comes the old GOP wants Grandma to eat dogfood! ploy.”
Dang. I forgot to include that great ol’ chestnut. Then there’s the modern favorite, “Sarah Palin is stupid and her hair is, oh god, have you seen it? And she kills innocent Moose and . . . and . . .and . . . . I have to stop. I’m hyperventilating.” And finally, the always good for a wise chuckle, George Bush dragged a black man by a chain tied behind his car and laughed about it.
Everyone like Dems until the Liberals come out of the closet.
Anyone tracking the campaign status of Allen West in Florida? William Russell in Pennsylvania? Don’t we have an NCO running out west, Arizona or Nevada?
I hope the dims don’t wake up until December.
Yep, but we can counter with “Democrats want to kill grandma via obamacare.” And we would be right.
I live in a college bedroom community. Election day was like something from the mind of George Romero.
On the freeway today I saw an Obama bumper sticker written in Hebrew. Some people are too stupid to be allowed to vote but they will anyway.
