I find that tingling noise that follows Chrissy around to be very annoying.

Hard to believe he ever filled in for Rush, isn’t it? But he did.

Nobody likes Kornheiser much, either. But we really can’t stand Matthews.

I smell a sitcom! Let's green-light it!

Everybody Hates Chris

Years ago I caught Chris Matthews on C-Span talking to a group of high school students. He was incredibly rude, nasty, and belittling to those kids who asked questions. It was shocking to see him reveal how much of a rotten human being he is.

I remember Rush saying he’s not sure where Mathews is coming from, but we’ll find out.

We sure did.

I thought he said he had a tinkling down his leg, which made sense given that he's a progressive...bladder control not being a strong suit.

I watched him tonight on Jeopardy and he looked like he was having a miserable time. Didn’t crack a smile once. Didn’t do too bad in the money department. Scored $20,000 so that wasn’t it. He’s just a miserable human being.

I actually stood in line behind Kornheiser and his daughter at a Safeway in West Falls Church once, years ago. The customer checking out and the cashier running the register were apparently having some sort of issue, so Korny decided to provide the rest of us with a low-key, Borscht-Belt stand-up routine until things got moving again. All I can say is, he's short, and hit-or-miss funny. Just like his columns and NFL coverage.

Love ya, Tony.[j/k]

Yes, he did and I never understood that one. I can’t believe Rush was ignorant of Matthews’ proclivities and I’ve never heard his explanation for allowing Matthews to host his show.

That’s got to be the first prescient thing I’ve heard from Kornhoser.

Saw him on Jeopardy tonight. Didn’t come across as dumb as David Duchovny.

It may have been a bet, or coming through on a promise made after some adult beverages had been consumed.

You know, something like this:

CM: You know Rush, I bet I could host your show, and have your listeners eating out of the palm of my hand! But you'd never allow it. You wouldn't take the chance.

RL: Sure I would. Sure I would. Listen, you can host my show the next time I need a day off. Have your people call HR, he'll set it up.

CM: You're kidding! Really, you've got to be kidding me. You're not serious, right?

RL: Sure I'm serious. Absolutely. (Matthews shakes head in mock amazement). I'm absolutely serious here! You have your booking people get with HR, he'll set it up. You can host the whole show, it's yours, the whole three hours...

CM: Well, I can't believe it, but who knows? I'm game if you are.

I LOVE Chris Matthews. He might as well be a plant for our side.

I’m a big Rush fan, and I remember it. Rush acknowledged it when Matthews started revealing his true leftist self. But he never mentions it anymore.

He used to write a regular — that is, not sports — column in the Washington Post that was pretty funny. I think it all got to be too much for him.

Yes it is so! At the suggestion of this thread I just watched Jeopardy with Chris Matthews. He had a pained look on his face the entire show. I couldn’t figure out how he was going to win $20,000 because up until the last category he had about $600. Then he almost ran the South American Countries category which included a daily double, leaving him with $10,000. He bet it all in Final Jeopardy and the category was Entrepreneurs. I said it has to be something easy for Chris to get it. “The flags flew at half-mast in Kentucky for 4 days in 1980 in honor of this entrepreneur”. Col. Sanders. Chris got it for his 20K but lost to Charles Shaughnessy, who answered a lot of hard questions earlier.
