Joseph Stack has a unique knowledge of literature to make this quote. It is also interesting if he studied Fairlie where his mindset came from. Anti-Business, pro-FDR type policies. Somewhere between a Liberal and a Larouche nut.

Had to laugh at CNN’s Sanchez. Picking bits of the manifesto to read online, he comments that the man is hardly to be considered a good writer.

What would Sanchez know?

Nada.

This guy’s politics are hard to peg.

Of course the media (even Shep Smith @ FNC) are playing his tea party-spounding rant against taxes and gubmint. Yet keeping quiet on his rail against the healthcare system, GW Bush and religion.

Not necessarily. A Google search of the phrase reveals that it has showed up from time to time on various discussion boards. Who knows where he picked it up from.

Right now our lib media is researching Stack from the day of his birth, hoping to connect him with the republican party, some “conservative” group, a “militia” or anything it can label right-wing. This nut will have been made into a long time worshiper of William F. Buckley by tomorrow morning.

"...and denounces government bashing as the sneer of patronizing and vaulting privilege at the needs of ordinary people that can be served only by government."

This is, in a clear summary, the anthithesis of the American experiment. Pleople woo embrace this line of thinking must be unhinged; ignorance can't be the reason if they have managed to learn big words.

There are no needs that can be served only by government

Government is like fire. An awesome slave and a mindless fearsome master. It can't feel, it can't think, it can't plan; it can only react to external forces. The greatest danger with both is the failure to understand that its primal purpose is to maintain itself, and consume anything that gets in its way.

It is no accident that our Constitution is formulated entirely to control the beast. Fail to remember this at your own peril.

From his writing he doesn’t seem highly educated. Slightly above average intelligence perhaps but not a wide reader. Possibly picked it up on the net?

Definitely leftist though. Finishes up with the communist creed and a faux “capitalist” one. See also http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2454982/posts

By the way, the New York Magazine had this to say about Stack:

In fact, a lot of his rhetoric could have been taken directly from a handwritten sign at a tea party rally.

Tea Parties do not QUOTE KARL MARX, you lousy liberal lyin s**tforbrains.

Andrew Stack: "The communist creed: From each according to his ability, to each according to his need. The capitalist creed: From each according to his gullibility, to each according to his greed."

Tea Parties do not DENIGRATE GEORGE W. BUSH, you lousy liberal lyin s**tforbrains.

Andrew Stack: "The recent presidential puppet GW Bush and his cronies in their eight years certainly reinforced for all of us that this criticism rings equally true for all of the government."
Tea Parties do not IMPUGN THE CURRENT HEALTH CARE SYSTEM (PRESUMABLY TO EMBRACE OBAMACARE), you lousy liberal lyin s**tforbrains.
Andrew Stack: "Yet at the same time, the joke we call the American medical system, including the drug and insurance companies, are murdering tens of thousands of people a year and stealing from the corpses and victims they cripple, and this country’s leaders don’t see this as important as bailing out a few of their vile, rich cronies."
Tea Parties do not DISRESPECT THE CHRISTIAN OR CATHOLIC FAITH), you lousy liberal lyin s**tforbrains.
Andrew Stack: "In particular, zeroed in on a section relating to the wonderful “exemptions” that make institutions like the vulgar, corrupt Catholic Church so incredibly wealthy. We carefully studied the law (with the help of some of the “best”, high-paid, experienced tax lawyers in the business), and then began to do exactly what the “big boys” were doing (except that we weren’t steeling from our congregation or lying to the government about our massive profits in the name of God)."

But you already knew that. You are simply lying liars, telling lies about the lies you tell.

And you wonder why you are continuously shrinking in revenue and size.

May I live to see your demise.

Now I am sure that Rush reads FR.

The book was mentioned right here on FR moments after the manifesto appeared online.

The guy could be from the Peoples Republic of Maine.

Can't tell you how many Mainers I've met who have 6 dots to connect. They connect the first three, skip right over 4 and 5 and go directly to 6.

They then pronounce some "profound" political insight, rail against "them" and go directly to the welfare office to collect their reparations.

And then Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe get re-elected.

If you read the “manifesto”, you might start off and say...”Okay. He has an issue with taxes. Could be a Tea Party type...” (but only if you ignore the tone)

Then you read further, and you see:

1.) Hates George W. Bush.

2.) Hates Capitalism.

3.) Hates the Insurance Companies.

4.) Quotes Karl Marx.

He is a deranged moonbat. Game. Set. Match. I reject that POS completely. I have a small degree of sympathy because he appears to be mentally ill, but he squandered that by taking out innocent people instead of flying his worthless ass into the side of a deserted mountain.
