Your thoughts?

I'll quote the Great Mark Levin "We should reach out to the left far enough to slap them behind the head."

Leftists are like Slinkies - basically worthless but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

To clarify my view on this—I’m aware that we all have some degree of cowardice and murder in our hearts.

But it’s the left who are slaves to Marxism, and this is the foundation of today’s Democratic party. A foundation which celebrates envy and advocates control of the individual while rejecting the notion of absolute truth. (This rejection forms the jaws of the trap leftists have made for themselves.) Marxism is, by the rules of pure logic, slavery itself.

Conservative ideology, though limited by man’s universally flawed nature, is the moral opposite of leftist ideology.

Conservatives are right in acknowledging the need to restrain our flawed nature while maintaining individual liberty.

Progressives are wrong because they are amoral, and because they believe man’s will alone, through the price of individual liberty, can restore our flawed nature. The Marxists behind this economic collapse have worked very hard, in the words of Frances Piven, for a “reconstruction of scarcity.”

(As long as Marxist subversives and useful idiot trolls come onto this website perpetrating deception, I’ll be throwing rocks.)

Pap, you and Bearfardles need to be quiet or be educated. You've seen this quote before and apparently can't ever remember it or choose to ignore it.

Ronald Reagan the Libertarian

Here's a wonderful quote from Reagan in 1975 from Reason magazine.

If you analyze it I believe the very heart and soul of conservatism is libertarianism. I think conservatism is really a misnomer just as liberalism is a misnomer for the liberals–if we were back in the days of the Revolution, so-called conservatives today would be the Liberals and the liberals would be the Tories. The basis of conservatism is a desire for less government interference or less centralized authority or more individual freedom and this is a pretty general description also of what libertarianism is.
Now, I can’t say that I will agree with all the things that the present group who call themselves Libertarians in the sense of a party say, because I think that like in any political movement there are shades, and there are libertarians who are almost over at the point of wanting no government at all or anarchy. I believe there are legitimate government functions. There is a legitimate need in an orderly society for some government to maintain freedom or we will have tyranny by individuals. The strongest man on the block will run the neighborhood. We have government to insure that we don’t each one of us have to carry a club to defend ourselves. But again, I stand on my statement that I think that libertarianism and conservatism are travelling the same path.
I suggest you curb your misguided attacks on libertarians.   You may disagree with individual tenets that you are against, such as marijuana policy, although you should realize even then, that you have no concept of it, but painting this murderous wack-job as a libertarian is unconscionable and beyond reason.

Let’s don’t go overboard on Austin. Compared to Berkely, or MIT, Austin is extremist right wing.

He’s a victim in mind, all the way. This mentality is destructive and deadly. It is Obama’s “religion.”

Obama’s voters want a lot of free stuff; but they don’t want to be taxed for it. Only the rich people should be robbed - not them. Problem is socialism leaves no stone unturned. Soon anyone who is not pennyless is “rich” for taxation.

Bill Maher is a communist - belonged to the SDS and recently defended that radical, violent group. Ayers, Obama, etc. are from SDS. “Students for a Democratic Society.” Nothing democratic about Marxism.

There is no middle ground between the constitution and socialism. One precludes the other. Either you are free or you are controlled. Socialists - betraying the constitution put us at each other’s throats. They never altered the constitution. They just undermined it illegally. So now they can do anything they want to us.

He could have been as you said a Laroucher.

Not a word about Zionists, neo-cons or Jews in the entire six pages. LaRouchers have a thing about Jews. A very big thing.

By what is known so far it is *likely* that Joe Stack was a Tea Party attendee.

Why is it likely? Because he hated the IRS? Is it also likely that he's marched with Code Pink because he hated Bush?

He is not a communist.

He quotes Marx favorably in direct contrast to an anti-capitalist play on Marx's words. After reading the entire screed again, I don't think he knew what he was. But he was clearly more sympathetic to communism than he was to what's left of our system -- probably because no communist country's revenue service had ever audited him.

Why are you and the others trying to stiffle discussion?

Speaking for myself, because we crossed into the realm of praising the guy. One poster -- who is either a troll or a ticking time-bomb -- said he loved Stack and suggested we have an obligation to follow in his footsteps. It was the single most bizarre post I've ever read here. And it's the kind of thing that can do serious damage to FR should it go viral.

In retrospect, I don't see anything else that rises to the level of that post. So, no, I don't care to see any purge. I just over-reacted to one really disturbing post that struck a nerve.

Yep. Bush bailed out GM. The diatribe seems upset with the executives at GM- sort of a Michael Moore-ish rant, IMO.

There is actually one compromise that a can be reached between socialists and real Americans; that is for their side to leave the US permanently. There are literally dozens of socialist/communist nations they can choose from. There is only one United States of America.

The tide is turned, no longer will we allow the left to rip apart our constitution. The war has just begun and we will win.

True, but the globalist elite corporate media will always use this to lambaste the Tea Parties, Birthers, Patriot Militiamen and anti-government types.

He seems to be scorning both capitalism and communism. I don’t see how what he has written in general makes him a Communist. I thought a lot of his complaints against government sound like a lot I have read here at FR.
