Described as Mardi Gras for the Right, CPAC (Conservative Political Action Conference) opened this morning at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington D.C. Excited GOP power players, power player makers, and everyday citizens concerned about the abuse of political power are streaming through the doors. The three-day conference will be filled with speeches, exhibits, forums, panel discussions, book signings, networking, hospitality suites, banquets, and entertainment.
Among official bloggers attending is our own Nate Gunderson. He will be posting blog updates and sending live tweets. Weve already received several tweets today from Nate, including one received this morning: Governor Romney just dropped by to tell some jokes. Tonight, Nate will be tying on his bowling shoes as he joins Romneys bowling for bucks to support Romneys PAC. We eagerly anticipate more of Nates coverage of CPAC goings-on and especially, Mitt Romney!

Romney has been awesome. Can’t wait to vote for him in 2012 both in the primary and general. Really can’t wait to watch him being sworn in as the 45th president.
The most liberal Governor in history? Why?
We attended CPAC LAST year & for me Romney came across like the Senator in Godfather II really FAKE. He would NOT get my vote in 2012!

The crowd was quite pleased with the Bush defense and even more so when Romney praised former vice president Dick Cheney. "I respect [Bush's] silence even in the face of the assaults on his record that come from this administration," said the Massachusetts Republican. "But at the same time, I also respect the loyalty and indefatigable defense of truth that comes from our 'I don't give a damn' Vice President Dick Cheney!"
You are hedging ... what do you mean “sponsored by gay organization” ... and who the heck are you talking about as the most liberal governor in the history of the Republic? If you are insinuating that describes Romney, you have a very limited view of the history of our Republic! He isn’t even the most liberal governor in the history of Massachusetts!
There is a gay group sponsoring CPAC.
Name me one other Governor in American history other than Mitt Romney who:
1) Used his executive authority to institute gay “marriage.”
2) Completely homosexualized the public schools and state government.
3) Advocated and signed socialized medicine complete with $50 co-pay abortions.
4) Advocated and signed a permanent “assault” weapons ban.
Gay group is the major sponsor of CPAC? Who? Gimme a break
1.Not true- was judicial. 2.BS 3.He “line item vetoed” and the Dems overrode. 4.Concede... but unfortunately we’ve seen many govs do that.
He is in no way the most liberal governor of the history of the Republic.
Is Carl Cameron there hawking Romney’s book like he was last night on Special Report? I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s manning a booth as the cashier.
Romney Violated MA Constitution by Ordering Same-Sex Marriage
The Governors New Clothes; How Mitt Romney Brought Same-Sex Marriage To America
False. He was, however, a Governor who helped save his state and will make a great President. Not to mention, helped to bring us our 41st vote in the Senate with his early and frequent support of Senator Brown.
Liberty University Withdraws From CPAC Because Of Gay Rights Groups Co-Sponsorship
I definitely liked that. I think it is important that Republicans stop conceding territory to liberal lies about President Bush and VP Cheney. While not perfect, they did remarkable jobs in difficult times for our nation and I am glad to have had their service. Our country is better for having had the Bush administration.
Why wouldn't he support his fellow socialist and pro-abort?
He was, however, a Governor who helped save his state
By inflicting the most vile parts of the radical gay agenda and socialized medicine on the Commonwealth? By banning guns?
I'm thinking you're on the wrong website. This one is pro-life and pro-liberty.
Perhaps the strategy of getting members elected is not preferable to you, but in Massachusetts getting a Senator that will result in our 41st vote and ability to block Obamacare sounds advantageous compared to not having it. Perhaps you can outline to me how we achieve our goals without electoral victory?
As to your second comment, I am pro-life and liberty. I am also pro-economic growth, pro-electoral victory, and thus pro-Romney.
His little gold metal joke was sooooo funny. Wahwah.
BTW the 2009 ACU ratings are out.
Romney is a lying socialist, so I don’t believe you.
