NAPLES — The Bush brothers packed the house at the Naples Grande Beach Resort.

Former President George W. Bush and his brother Jeb Bush, the former governor of Florida, spoke Tuesday night as part of the Naples Town Hall Distinguished Speakers Series. They talked issues _ everything from health care and the Iraq war to budget deficits and Social Security reform.

George W. Bush, the 43rd U.S. president, has stayed out of the spotlight, limiting his face-time in public since leaving the White House about a year ago.

He and his brother – the state’s 43rd governor – addressed a crowd of more than 1,000 who purchased tickets to see them. Tickets to hear the duo speak started at $200.

The brothers had the crowd laughing, clapping and sighing with heart-felt emotions as they showed their more personal side. A few times, George W. Bush fought tears as he talked about the support of his wife in the Oval Office and how his decisions to send more troops to Iraq hurt families in the U.S. who lost their sons, daughters, husbands and wives to the war.

Now, professor, think about what you're saying for once. To believe it, you'd have to also believe that God anointed Adolph Hitler. Then, logistically, you'd have to reason that God, the omnipotent, would know that old Schicklegruber would go on to light the ovens of the Holocaust's camps and that 6 million of GOD'S OWN CHOSEN PEOPLE would burn in them! Is that what you want me to believe?

I was reading this whole thread and it really disgusts me how there are still people who really hate and despise GWB so much!

They can't even talk respectfully and civilly to those who do admire and respect him.

I'd say BDS is still going strong, I wonder if a cure for it will ever be found?

If there werwe really such a thing as a time machine or someone were to invent one, I go forward into the furtre were BDS no longer exists.

They're a very small minority, Pippin - people who post on a conservative forum who feel exactly the same way about President Bush as the radical left does - but unfortunately they make a lot of noise.

We know who has the character and who doesn't, and that's why we respect President Bush so much. He's nothing like these haters. Nothing at all.
