DALLAS, Feb 16 (Reuters) - Texas and several national industry groups on Tuesday filed separate petitions in federal court challenging the government's authority to regulate U.S. greenhouse gas emissions.
Texas, which leads U.S. states in carbon dioxide emissions due to its heavy concentration of oil refining and other industries, will see a major impact if U.S. mandatory emissions reductions take effect.
In December, the Environmental Protection Agency ruled that greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide endanger human health, opening the door for the agency to issue mandatory regulations to reduce them.
Texas said it had filed a petition for review challenging the EPA's "endangerment finding" with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. Texas has also asked the EPA to reconsider its ruling.

I’m not the biggest fan of Rick Perry(I’ll still vote for him) but at least he has a ‘pair’.
I’d like to see all these “climate cjhange” issues put to the test in courts and get some of these alleged “scientists” to testify under oath under risk of perjury.
The new Virginia AG just filed legal papers on the same magnatude. I am now expecting a flood of these things coming down the pipe from other states as well.
The EPA is toast if they have to testify:

GOOD FOR PERRY. 80% of the refining is done on the Gulf Coast. If the feds proceed with this garbage, there will be lots of people out of work and the cost of fuel will go ballistic. A side benefit for Perry is that this will probably seal the deal for him for Governor.
There has been no warming of the planet so there is no such thing as a greenhouse gas effect. It's called, among other things, weather patterns and atmospheric conditions pinheads.
The only place you will find greenhouse gasses is in a frigg'n greenhouse.
The sooner everyone stops trying to look intelligent but looking stupid instead by parroting the language of the left, like this "greenhouse" nonsense the sooner we can get past this shit.
This global warming sh!t isn't over yet.
For you idiots out there that feel the need to make yourselves look intelligent by screaming that vapor contributes more to the greenhous effect than CO2, what are you going to do when the EPA agrees with you and decides to regulate that?
Vapor isn't a greenhouse gas because there is no greenhouse effect...it's just frigg'n vapor numbskulls.
Just shut the f&*k up with this "greenhouse" sh!t.
Wow! Do you have a link to the news story? I want to pass it along.
As the evidence piles up against AGW, the government continues blindly on, passing more and more job/wealth killing rules and laws.
I am very glad to see some resistance finally, but I feel it is too little too late.
