Something wrong in Democratic Party
PITTSBURGH TRIBUNE-REVIEW ^ | Tuesday, February 16, 2010 | By Salena Zito

"This is a warning sign on so many levels, when people like Evan Bayh walk way rather than serve their country," said Steve McMahon, a former Senate staffer for the late Democratic Sen. Ted Kennedy of Massachusetts. "The moderate Democrat is a vanishing breed," said McMahon, a Democratic strategist on Capitol Hill. "It is the moderates that make the difference between being in the majority and being in the minority, a problem for the Democrats."

Former Pennsylvania Republican Sen. Rick Santorum said Bayh did what he himself should have done when faced with a similar situation in the 2006 mid-term election. Santorum lost by 18 points to Democrat Bob Casey Jr. in an election year that cost Republicans the majority in the House and Senate.

Santorum commended Bayh for having a clearer head than he did: "He looked at the conditions practically and knew that running would prove to be toxic."

This is wrong. The RATS exist to "serve their country to the enemies of this nation!"

What’s wrong is that they are beginning to understand people are now paying attention to what they are doing, and what they are doing is indefensible.

The Democrat Party is no longer “Moderate”. It is “Progressive” ie. Socialist/Communist. If you aren’t one you bail. Bayh bailed.

“The moderate Democrat is a vanishing breed,”

I think it would be o.k. to leave out the word moderate.

“Steve McMahon, a former Senate staffer for the late Democratic Sen. Ted Kennedy of Massachusetts. “The moderate Democrat is a vanishing breed,””

He wouldn’t recognize a moderate if he was shown one...he worked for Teddy.

Sorry, but being a democrat senator or congressman is not serving anyone but that member.

I no longer have any regard for those crooks and loons.

The sooner they go elsewhere off this earth, the better.

Sorry, libs, but it’s war now.

Bayh’s campaign was going to be a referendum on Barack Obama. That is what NO ONE in the press seems to want to admit. Bayh’s state of Indiana is not liberal, even though they voted for Obama, most Hoosiers now regret their votes. Bayh was going to run as an Obama acolyte, and he saw the handwriting in the wall.

When a Kennedy staffer says that there are no more moderate democrats anymore, you know they are in trouble.

Good riddance to one and all liberals and their ilk!
It’s too bad they don’t have the will to change, but they also will answer to the Lord God for their votes against Him and His ways.

Most politicians are narcissists who serve themselves and their ego, not their country. The term ‘public service’ has become irrelevant and ridiculous. Absolutely no one should ever be able to make a career out of elected office. No one. Ever. We would be better off picking Senators, Congressmen, Presidents, and essentially all elected officials at random from the general population than via the system we have now.

The Democrats have problems because they have become the party of hate and envy, despite pointing the finger at everyone else.

It’s so terrible. The Democrat party is being transformed from the party of moderate baby-killers to the party of extremist baby-killers.

“they are beginning to understand”

yes, all of what you wrote seems so......I’d also be tempted to speculate that at least SOME Dems are beginning to realize that the Marxists have been or about to be successful with the ongoing coup d’etat.....and choosing to walk away in false pretense rather than screaming at the top of their lungs what is happening.....the latter makes me think that threats have been communicated to keep quiet or else. Some of these folks rode the party line horse too far, and it has resulted in a near-complete overthrow of the USG, and it may well be complete enough already that it will take our military to take it back.....if this is necessary, I shudder to think of the limited alternative should our military decline to stand up for America in America.

Warning sign? LOL

>>>>>"The moderate Democrat is a vanishing breed," said McMahon

The last Democrat who came close to being a moderate was Zell Miller. May be.

The most amazing thing about this announcement is that Bayh was probably WORKING with the White House on this and held to the last second to allow Rahm Emmanuel to anoint his successor by denying any other Democrat candidates the time to organize a petition to be included on the Ballot so that the White House candidate (apparently Baron Hill) would not face a primary challenge.

This is par for the course in Obama land where he specialized in creating situations where he had no challenger over and over.

As it should be...

Its way past time to draw the battle lines and fight the war.

Please elaborate! I think you are most likely right. Are you in Indiana? If you are, please let us know what people from that state are thinking.
