Florida Democratic Representative Kendrick Meek, is giving up his Congressional Seat to run for the U.S. Senate in Florida. This weekend, he sponsored Mike Wallace's car in the Daytona 500; the "Super Bowl of NASCAR". Wallace placed 52nd out of 54 Drivers with Meek's name splattered all over the car.

Could this be an omen of more overwhelming losses for Dems in 2010.

O.K. folks, don't beat me up over this silly post; it's kind of a "slow" newsday.

Just getting his money’s worth. It’s easier to read when he’s going slower, and for a longer time.

Fact Check; Mike Wallace placed 28th at Daytona in the Nationwide race with Meek as the sponsor.

It’s definitely an omen, but omens are notoriously unreliable.

Mike Wallace is a minor leaguer. He’s never won a thing on the Sprint circuit. So I don’t think it’s an omen.

..he sponsored Mike Wallace's car..

What does he expect trying to poor boy it. An ad for Mike Wallace's car had to have been cheap (by NASCAR standards).

Marco Rubio is going to grind this guy like a sausage.

Kendrek Meeks has had the honor of sitting in an uncontested congressional seat for many years, The only reason he is getting out of it and running for the Senate is that now he is being Challenged by Col. Allen West.

He is toast and he knows it, so he is spending cash on Race cars so he can pocket some during a losing bid.
