Way to go Boehner. And so much for the idea that there is not a dime’s worth of difference between the parties.

Great stuff...thanks for posting, always liked Boehner! Betcha the RINOs still show up to help with the conservative bashing theme (like LeMieux, Pelosi’s ‘bipartisan’ useful Haiti tool)

The GOP has a clue what America wants. By lopsided margins it’s anathema to construct this socialist beast. Dickering over a scale here and a claw there is going to do no good.

Come on, you perpetual "boo-birds" and whine about how this really doesn't mean anything and that the Republicans are going to fail, anyway!
A whole bunch of posts and not a single whine, yet!
Good for the Republicans, seeing "Ears" for what he is and shoving it back in his face!

Krauthammer had a brillant idea. Appoint a single republican who knows more than Obama to debate him one on one(equal footing) . He suggested Paul Ryan.
“He is the Ranking Member of the House Budget Committee, where he works to bring fiscal discipline and accountability to the federal government”
http://www.house.gov/ryan/
Having scores of Republicans raising hands to shout out questions doesnt look good.

A productive bipartisan discussion should begin with a clean sheet of paper. We now know that instead of starting the 'bipartisan' health care 'summit' on Feb. 25 with a clean sheet of paper, the president and his party intend to arrive with a new bill written behind closed doors exclusively by Democrats -- a backroom deal that will transform one-sixth of our nation's economy and affect every family and small business in America. They will then engage a largely handpicked audience in a televised 'dialogue' according to a script they have largely pre-determined. They will do this as a precursor to embarking on a legislative course that Democratic congressional aides acknowledge has also been pre-determined -- a partisan course that relies on parliamentary tricks to circumvent the will of the American people and engineer a pre-determined outcome. It doesn't sound much like bipartisanship to me.What took you so long, John? This is the collective and these are the collectivists you're dealing with EVERY day. SPEND...SPEND...SPEND...OPM. Your entire time in office and NOW you might be getting a clue? Let's see how far you take this sentiment. This good statist/bad statist is getting very old. Why don't all of you resign and go back to your families...to people that may have some respect for you.

You (Republicans) don’t agree to any health care summit at the White House where 0bongo controls the setting. The summit must be on neutral turf
If Republicans have any cojones they say — “With all due respect Mr. President we will not be summoned to the White House for your photo op but are willing to meet you and your party halfway in an uncharged neutral location”
A military base near DC would be a good neutral location. Lots of security can be easily cheaply set up

The GOP now has the clout to control the format, and can demand a clean slate here. If they relinquish this in any way, they will get slaughtered again.
We can all hope for the best.

Way to go, Boehner. I saw that Obama did not really invite Republicans. He had a specific list of Senators and Congressman invited - included more Democrats than Republicans - and failed to include either of the Republican doctors in the Senate, the ones who really might have some knowledge about the delivery of health care and the challenges involved. What a farce! Anything with an individual mandate or even one additional government agency is a no starter for me.
