Elizabeth Edwards, cancer victim and cheated-on spouse, sent disturbing voicemails to former John Edwards aide Andrew Young's wife who, interestingly, was largely out of the picture of the whole, sordid, Edwards scandal. Andrew Young is of course the former Edwards aide who is currently at the center of the whole unraveling of the Edwards affair into the scandal that it is, being the author of the tell-all expose on John Edwards called The Politician. These voicemails are disturbing because they portray Elizabeth Edwards in her own voice and words as an emotionally distraught woman who at the time was possibly on the verge of a breakdown, but if your spouse was John Edwards (philanderer, liar, Mr. Four-hundred-dollar-haircut), maybe you'd be as unhinged as Elizabeth, too!

Sad that in this day and age, women put up with a lot of krap from their old men. The Kennedy women were like that. Of course, in their polite society and devout Catholic upbringing, they were taught that the way you made your bed, that's how you will lie in it. But I think many of these women don't do anything about their husbands’ bad behavior because they believe if they left their men, it would diminish their own prestige and power.
Glad I never married. I could never put up with such bull.
Elizabeth is by no means the innocent victim. If John was looking elsewhere, I am sure all was not well in paradise.
The man refused to include faithfulness in his wedding vows.. what did she expect?
He basically said he was going to cheat before they married, he refused to include even a promise of fidelity in the wedding vows.
All parties in this sordid affair deserve each other. The only one I feel sorry for is the poor kid being born in to this. It's to bad they didn't put her up for adoption.

Why is the story of the SOB John and the Bitch Elizabeth Edwards being constantly on FNC (Hannity and Greta) and other so-called cable news outlets? ....This doesn’t deserve any better than about page 7 of one of the tabloids sold at grocery check outs. Waaaaay too much air time being devoted to this soap opera crap.
Never liked Elizabeth; she waxed sweet and in same breath would drop the snarkiest attacks on those 'in her way'. Among other unflattering observations; a totally classless act, IMHO.

There are so many it's hard to keep up with them.
Not a psychiatrist, but IMHO; in spite of wealth and proxy power through her spouse, Elizabeth Edwards’ personal life has had unimaginable tragedy.
She lost a teenage son in an auto accident.
She was diagnosed with cancer for which the treatment is no picnic.
She may die before her three children reach adulthood.
She was betrayed by her husband’s dalliance with a skank & the ultimate insult of a *love child* to excessive public humiliation.
Many women would hit, spit and split!!
