We are not supposed to speak ill of the dead. But those whom the deceased viciously smeared and humiliated deserve to be defended. Entrenched Rep. John Murtha passed away on Feb. 8 after a botched gallbladder surgery. He has been hailed as a "military advocate" (Associated Press) and "one of the greatest patriots ever to serve in Congress" (former Rep. Harold Ford Jr.).
These obsequious obituaries leave out inconvenient truths: John "Jack" Murtha was an unrepentant smear merchant and corruptocrat to the bitter end.
In May 2006, during an MSNBC appearance that Marines and their families will never forget or forgive, Murtha accused US troops of wantonly killing some two dozen civilians, including children, in the terrorist stronghold of Haditha, Iraq. Bellowed Murtha: "Our troops overreacted because of the pressure on them, and they killed innocent civilians in cold blood."

Excellent article.
Murtha died from “Potomac Fever”........he got so much power, he became a DICTATOR!
He may be dead but thats still going to hurt.ouch.
Agree with the start of the article - all of it.
God is not mocked. And HE is at work!
I dont think Murtha will be too sorely missed , except by the people who received his largesse.
A depravity - a travesty - of a commendation; if ever there was. . .
Getting a compliment from a member of the Ford family criminal syndicate is a high honor, indeed !
Michelle’s article has been making the rounds, but having finally taken the time to read it, it’s jaw dropping just what a shameless scuzball Murtha really was.
My obvious pleasure in my demeanor when I loudly announced it clearly surprised not only those I was with and those at the table next to us, but it caught me off guard as well.
Although I wasn't one of his constituents, I'd donated to Bill Russell in the past in an attempt to get this old-school corrupt Democrat out of public office, and was angered at the lack of honor of Democrat "leaders", such as "General" Wesley Clark, who campaigned to keep that old scumbag in Congress because he faithfully carried Democrat water.
Anyone who calls that dirt-bag a "patriot" has a perverted view of what the term means.
And anyone who claims that you shouldn't tell the truth about him just because he's dead is either a fool in general, or a foolish Democrat who would feel no such compunction if he were a similarly symbolic Republican.
“He has been hailed as a “military advocate” (Associated Press) and “one of the greatest patriots ever to serve in Congress” (former Rep. Harold Ford Jr.).
“
Both the Ass Press and Harold Ford, jr deserve to have their asses kicked.
Your views mirror mine in regard to the traitor murtha. He was a lying corrupt POS when he was alive and now in death he is just a dead POS.
Enjoy hell Jack.
I hope he is feeling very hot and uncomfortable at this time as it seems the only punishment he will get is dying. Good riddance is a understatement!
It is not the “ugly” truth...it is the TRUTH. The EX-Marine was an insult to his past. He was a misguided, anti-truth, anti-military politician. What a loser. Yes, he brought his district money but he sold his soul. I hope he “roasts” in peace, not rests in peace.
signed: a former Marine
fieldmarshaldj,
Being from Tenn. you should know all too well the Ford crime syndicate.
Course it looks like Harold will be the next criminal N.Y.Senator to go along with chuckie schumer.
Go floriduh, beat Tenn.
Jack, thanks for your service in military.
And that statement shows you more respect than you showed our brave soldiers in the field when you accused them of cold-blooded murder.
The people who kept voting him into office should be ashamed of themselves.
You can wish him damned; just don't wish him dead.
later read..
Glad you like the post. Michelle never pulls any punches.
