HOUSTON — Republican gubernatorial candidate Debra Medina, reeling from her remarks that questioned whether the U.S. government was involved in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, on Friday blamed the ensuing firestorm on a “coordinated attack” that she speculated came from the campaigns of her better-known GOP rivals.

Why? You the pissing police? I asked for a link to prove a point you made. Is that against the FR law? Or is it that you don’t have link and are just speculating? Speculating and spreading rumors..?? You don’t know any of what you stated as fact. Why should I go elsewhere? Why are you being so rude?

Sandbagged? So, she’s outed as a truther and that’s Beck’s fault? I 100% agree that she has the right to her own opinions. So do I and so do you. So, don’t let your views be known and then crawfish when it sounds bad for you.

She believes that the US government had something to do with the 9/11 attacks! That’s fine with me. I just happen to think that’s nuts. So let the chips fall where they may.

Considering that she outright denied being a truther, yes it IS Beck's fault for deliberately distorting the truth.

She believes that the US government had something to do with the 9/11 attacks! That’s fine with me.

Then your pointy little head must be as feeble as Glen Beck's because those are his words, not hers.

Go listen to the interview on YouTube yourself...
I don't care much for Medina myself...
(she's too libertarian and I'm more paleo-conservative)
Nevertheless, Beck sandbagged her with a cheap shot...
And I despise media pundits who have less integrity than Keith Olberman or Katie Couric.
(And that's how low I think Beck sunk on this.)

Not really.

MEDINA: I don't, I don't have all of the evidence there, Glenn. So I don't I'm not in a place, I have not been out publicly questioning that. I think some very good questions have been raised in that regard. There are some very good arguments, and I think the American people have not seen all of the evidence there. So I've not taken a position on that.

If that is denying being a truther, it's the longest "no" on record.

Here is an update for you.Her official press release:

Medina Campaign Responds to Glenn Beck Interview
by Debra Medina on Feb 11, 2010

I was asked a question on the Glenn Beck show today regarding my thoughts on the so-called 9/11 truth movement. I have never been involved with the 9/11 truth movement, and there is no doubt in my mind that Muslim terrorists flew planes into those buildings on 9/11. I have not seen any evidence nor have I ever believed that our government was involved or directed those individuals in any way. No one can deny that the events on 9/11 were a tragedy for all Americans and especially those families who lost loved ones.

The question surprised me because it’s not relevant to this race or the issues facing Texans. This campaign has always been about private property rights and state sovereignty. It is focused on the issues facing Texans. It is not a vehicle for the 9-11 truth movement or any other group.

The real underlying question here, though, is whether or not people have the right to question our government. I think the fact that people are even asking questions on this level gets to the incredible distrust career politicians have fostered by so clearly taking their direction from special interests instead of the people, whether it’s Rick Perry and his HPV mandate or Kay Hutchison and voting for the bank bailout. It is absolutely the right and duty of a free people to question their government. Texas does not need another politician who tells you what you want to hear, then violates your liberties and steals your property anyway. I fully expect to be questioned and to be held accountable as Governor, and that’s the underlying issue here: should people be questioning their government. And the answer is yes, they should be.

Exactly! By not saying precisely that she did not beelvie that the government had anything to do with 9/11 she showed she is not ready for prime time! If she wanted to add that it is everyone in America’s right to question their government she should’vbe said that after making clear she did not believe it in the first place. Very fatal political mistake!

Republican good-old-boys-club in Alaska did very similar stuff to Sarah.

You have me confused. How did Perry or Kay Bailey make Medina say those stupid “truther” things?

What’s wrong with having a “core” of supporters? I thought that is how people got elected in the first place.

Obviously it all depends on what the core is. I'm seeing Ron Paul people and libertarians who want to burn the place down if Medina loses the primary. They are screaming about Medina being "smeared" and a Neocon/RINO/Glenn Beck/Perry conspiracy. They want to make a primary into a civil war. If they don't win, they want to go third party so a Democrat wins. That is ideological suicide (if they aren't the Democrat plants I suspect many of them are).

Yeah, she (her handlers) came out with that about an hour after her epic fail admission of trutherism.

That's called "Crawfishing".

Backing directly away from the issue, for those of you in Rio Linda.

Beck allowed her to speak without interrupting. He even said after her comments that people might think she agreed with Truthers and she still did not change her statement.

She;s dumb and stupid.

This is the same mentality that gave us Obama with the
sit at home election day and third party voters and then
they have the nerve to complain what Obama is doing
