Weve always banned truthers at RedState. Increasingly, we have also banned a number of individuals who think Barack Obama is disqualified from being President because despite the Republican Governor of Hawaii confirming the legitimacy of the Democratic Presidents birth origin as a citizen of the United States.
Today I want to reaffirm and make it more definitive. If you think 9/11 was an inside job or you really want to debate whether or not Barack Obama is an American citizen eligible to be President, RedState is not a place for you.
Birfers and Truthers are not welcome here. Period. End of Story.
But I want to expand on this too.
The tea party movement is in danger of getting a bad reputation for allowing birfers and truthers to share the stage. At the National Tea Party, Joseph Farah treated the birfer issue as legitimate. In Texas, tea party activists have rallied to Debra Medina who, just yesterday, refused to definitely dismiss the 9/11 truther conspiracy as crackpot nonsense. If a candidate cannot do that, we cannot help that candidate. Its that simple.

I hear ya bro.
I made a mistake.
It’s Deacon Erickson.
:)
Wuth that correction, let’s see the birth certificate!!!
I took the ‘commie-redstate’ site off my hot list months ago.
For a so called conservative site that likes to tout their adherence to the constitution, they sure have a funny way of showing respect for it & the 1st amendment.
That would explain it.
"The media never runs stories about the Communist Party USAs routine pronouncements in favor of Barack Obama. The media has never run legitimate stories about Barack Obamas ties to the communist oriented New Party in Chicago. Obama gets a pass even on radicals whose support he personally solicited and those he personally befriended for years. But the moment a birfer opens his mouth and spouts his stupidity from the stage of a tea party rally it becomes headline news on every news network. Complain all you like that thats not fair, but its the world we live in.
"We must be vigilant. We must be willing to draw a line in the sand and stand against fatuous nonsense that opens up the right to attacks by a left-leaning media intent on embarrassing the good people who have developed through the tea party movement a renewed sense of civic involvement.
"Birfers and Truthers have no place among us. And they are most decidedly not welcome at RedState"
Good call, Mr. Erickson. The stakes are too high right now. The battle must be won with facts and appeal to what is most important -- economic recovery and preservation of individual freedom, not crazy conspiracy theories.
They’re in for a bit of a surprise at their own ignorance. Damaging the Tea Party movement? According to polls, the vast majority of TPers believe that Hussein is ineligible. Which is not surprising, as a return to the values of the Constitution is a key part of the movement. Redstate is a traitor site that is no longer going to be welcome associated with the Tea Party.
Redstate has now become Obama’s 58th State.
Memo to self: set image filters to "Pious" when looking for "Grade A Prime"
It is better to be divided by TRUTH than united around ERROR.
So then Americans who want their Constitution followed and those seeking the highest office in the land to document their Constitutional qualifications are now extremists????
We can argue policy with this administration all day..there are dozens of arguments we can make about a myriad of subjects....and we are well within our rights to do so.
Oh so then we have the right to argue policy but not the right to question a public official's eligibility to hold office???? Where is that written??? Where does it say our rights are thus limited??? the Constitution, the Obama Prayer Breakfast Rules, or the Rules for Radicals???
without bringing up his birth certificate or his faith
Ahhh -- words right off of Obama's teleprompter and out of Obama's mouth. So then you are now taking orders from Obama himself, and so are Redstate and Beck and Breitbart, and Fox and the rest of the loyal opposition. He issues the orders at the Prayer Breakfast and Redstate et al fall right into line with him.
Read what they said in Nashville. They were the ones who said they were putting a stop to this.
It sounds like the Tea Party movement in Nashville needs its own Tea Party movement.
I never thought that insisting the Constitution be followed was a conspiracy theory. If it’s a crazy idea, why is Obama fighting and not showing he’s eligible?
And the media never run stories about the fact that Barack Obama is not Constitutionally qualified to be in the Oval Office for a multiplicity of documentable reasons. Get your facts straight.
But the moment a birfer opens his mouth and spouts his stupidity from the stage of a tea party rally it becomes headline news on every news network.
You mean the moment an "afterbirfer" opens his mouth and spouts his stupidity after somebody leaves the stage of a tea party rally. Get your facts straight.
Complain all you like that thats not fair, but its the world we live in.
Yeh, the afterbirfers don't have the mental acuity to ask questions of Constitutionalists when they are up on stage where those questions should be posed, but instead they wait until the person has left the stage and then express their stupidity in the dark, off stage. Get your facts straight.
"We must be vigilant. We must be willing to draw a line in the sand and stand against fatuous nonsense that opens up the right to attacks by a left-leaning media intent on embarrassing the good people who have developed through the tea party movement a renewed sense of civic involvement.
Yes you must be vigilant to take your cues from the left-leaming media, and Barack Obama's Prayer Breakfast speech, and TOTUS. When they attack you, back down. When they ridicule you, go crawl into a corner and hide. When they accuse you, blame your fellow compatriots rather than placing the blame where it really belongs.
"Birfers and Truthers have no place among us. And they are most decidedly not welcome at RedState"
You are about to become very lonely there.
Good call, Mr. Erickson. The stakes are too high right now.
Yeh -- for Obama and those invested in his illegal presidency.
The battle must be won with facts and appeal to what is most important
If that is the case, then you've lost the battle.
If you’ve looked at my blog you will see that if I and people who know the facts unite around people like Back on this issue we would be uniting around error.

Your wishful interpretation of the Constitution -- not mine, nor that of most conservatives.
You: If that is the case, then you've lost the battle.
Your honor, I rest my case.
Not at all. The office of President and Vice President are the only places in the Constitution that demand natural born citizen" status. I would say that there are only some who care about upholding the Constitution in it's entirety. The rest give it lip service and denigrate those who insist the Constitution matters.
Btw, did you see Post 131 ?
You sure do.
Just like the typical left, no debate unless it’s under their terms and rules..
