Bill Whittle is a writer, pilot and TV editor who lives and works in Los Angeles.

With history on his side, Bill Whittle challenges widely held misconceptions about politics and society. Frequently asking the difficult ethical questions, Whittle attempts to underscore conservative values and philosophy through logical reasoning.

Nailed It!

This ping list is not author-specific for articles I'd like to share. Some for the perfect moral clarity, some for provocative thoughts; or simply interesting articles I'd hate to miss myself. (I don't have to agree with the author all 100% to feel the need to share an article.)

I will try not to abuse the ping list and not to annoy you too much, but on some days there is more of the good stuff that is worthy of attention.

You are welcome to browse the list of truly exceptional articles I pinged to lately. Updated on January 13, 2010.  on  my page.
You are welcome in or out, just freepmail me (and note which PING list you are talking about).

Besides this one, I keep 2 separate PING lists for my favorite authors Victor Davis Hanson and Orson Scott Card.

"Because if the Tea Party movement is the grass-roots, common-man philosophical soul of small government and personal liberty and responsibility, then the Republican party is the skeletal structure — the bones and arteries and sinews needed to live in the real world."

Amen!

The question is whether or not Scott Brown is more conservative than Ted Kennedy or Martha Coakley. He is, and by a very wide margin. That’s a win!

The question is whether or not Scott Brown will kill as many babies as Ted Kennedy or Martha Coakley, both of whom are "pro-choice" like Scott, but who have "personal distaste for abortion and especially for partial birth abortion, also like Scott.

He will. Their KIA count will be 200 times just this year the entire total killed in Iraq since the WOT began. (Osama bin Roevwade)

So, it's a loss. It's a loss for the nation.

And, it's another life taken without due process of law.

But...it's OK....he bares his chest on Cosmo and any politician who likes balanced budgets, and who's also that liberal can't be anything other than an acceptable media darling. And he's got cute daughters with perky breasts.

What could possibly be wrong with that?

God save us.

RE :” Gone! What did you get for it? Nothing. What service did it do the country? None! So why did they spend it? Because — listen now — they spent it because that’s not your money. That’s their money. Just because you got up in the morning, sat in traffic, and worked all day before sitting in traffic again to come home exhausted… that doesn’t mean it’s your money to these bloodsucking, leather-winged, Big Government entitlement-mongers. No, that’s their money to spend as they see fit — and not just all the money you send in taxes today, or next year, or the next ten years — they — Democrats and Republicans too — have spent all the money you will make in your lifetime, and then spent all of the money your kids will make, and the pool of work that your grandkids will do in 2060 or so — that’s mostly been spent too

LOL, love this talk. I like Peter Schiff’s speech where he says our Social Security FICA taxes was spent on bridges to no-where, failed auto-companies, bank bailouts, welfare(to illegals yet) , new entitlements and in Iraq and it's long gone.

Sorry suckers(taxpayers) , it really wasn't free like they promised!

Before they cut one dime of Social Security or medicare they need to cut retired government benefits including congress.

Excellent article. Thank God for the Tea Party Nation. I’m wondering at what rate it’s numbers are growing. Anyone know?

“By calling us Tea Baggers, and racists, and Nazis, and rubes, and hicks… by pretending we’re just a fringe group of dangerous radicals, or saying — as the President did, twice, and apparently with a straight face — that he was unaware that tens or hundreds of thousands of hard-working American patriots were clogging the streets of the city he lives in — well all of these geniuses poured can after can of lighter fluid on to what might have been some old, wet charcoal — nearly impossible to light — and turned it into a wildfire that will likely remake the landscape of this country. That’s why there’s a Tea Party. So thanks, you big-brain, sneering, socialist ninnies! We couldn’t have done it without you.”

You did indeed nail it, Tolik. Yes!

The TEA Partiers should not be defined by anger, but by passion for liberty. As I posted on another thread, neither should the TEA Party movement be defined by the Left or the Media.

The thoughtful, knowledgeable citizens who are participating in what is being called the TEA Party movement should not be defined by WHAT they are AGAINST either!

Lovers of liberty joining other lovers of liberty should be defined, as were their predecessors, America's brave Founders, by a passion for liberty. John Adams stated: "The foundation of every government is some principle or passion in the minds of the People."

Further, these lovers of liberty who are now called Tea Partiers have a weapon the other side does not have. It is The Constitution of the United States of America, the document which begins with the words, "We, the People."

According to Justice Story's "Commentaries on the U. S. Constitution," the Constitution is to be "kept" by the "People." Hear his words:

"The structure has been erected by architects of consummate skill and fidelity; its foundations are solid; its compartments are beautiful, as well as useful; its arrangements are full of wisdom and order; and its defences are impregnable from without. It has been reared for immortality, if the work of man may justly aspire to such a title. It may, nevertheless, perish in an hour by the folly, or corruption, or negligence of its only keepers, THE PEOPLE. Republics are created by the virtue, public spirit, and intelligence of the citizens."

Tea Partiers, define yourselves as "KEEPERS of the Constitution."

The original Tea Party became the original "Keepers." Now it is this generation's turn.
