Imagine my surprise just now when I picked up the phone and Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio was on the other line! At first I thought it was Max Cannon pulling another prank, but then I realized it was really was Sheriff Joe, or at least a robot version of him, inviting me to downtown's El Presidio Park at 5 p.m. Monday, Feb. 15, to meet J.D. Hayworth, the former congressman who is chewing Sen. John McCain's ass.
Robo-Joe said something to the effect that McCain had supported amnesty and cap-and-trade legislation. Oh, that McCain! Such a lib. (BTW: Arizona's senior senator is scheduled to be our guest on Arizona Illustrated's Friday Roundtable next Friday, Feb. 19.)
Anyway, thanks the invite, Sheriff. You can bet I'll be there!

That’s great to hear. McCain has simply got to go.
I understand her loyalty, but hold against her the vacuity of the comment, “I don’t know JD Hayworth.” She should know of him and there’s certainly time enough for her to familiarize herself with his qualifications.
Still and all, she’s not going to enter into any cat fight.
He’s also got Scott Brown on his side. I’m nervous that with Palin & Brown on his side, many voters will be duped into re-instating McCain.
Nice!
Heck! Last senate election the second the polls closed the race was called for McCain.
I was pulling for her when she ran for VP...she talked true conservative ideals all the way. Then...she came back..on the scene...and did a 180 going the opposite direction.
Politicians are just people...but most lose their way and decide winning is more important than sticking to solid values. That’s when they become “born again”as a politicians.
What politicians don’t understand about American families is that we are not gonna keep changing our minds to fit the mood THEY ARE IN from day to day.
I’m grounded and settled in what I believe to be best for American families in this country...and I checked myself to make sure...and
I’m w/the majority of American people on everything that is true, honest, just, pure, lovely and whatsoever things are of a good report.
If they change race horses they can ride off into the darkness alone, but I’m gonna keep the same hoss I’m on cause he’s dependable.
I can’t vote for somebody that’s blown by the wind this way and that...and I think that’s the way most voting people are. They want someone that’s anchored down win or lose they won’t change.
Time for McCain to retire in Mexico.
