Medina is facing off in a GOP primary with Gov. Rick Perry and U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison.
Medina's absurd comments to Beck about U.S. government involvement in 9/11 included this gem:
"I dont have all of the evidence there, Glenn, so Im not in a place, I have not been out publicly questioning that. I think some very good questions have been raised in that regard, there are some very good arguments and I think the American people have not seen all the evidence there, so I have not taken a position on that."
Perry and Hutchinson immediately ripped Medina for such ignorant comments

I thought so - you can’t tell me what he’s said.
Question 1: Why does FR hate Medina. Is she not a Conservative? I know nothinga about her.
Question 2: Is she really as stupid as she sounds? I know nothing about her, but her answer to the question was idiotic. Anyone stable of intelligence would say “I don’t see any evidence the US government was involved. Her answer made it clear she thinks there is some possilibity this is not the case, after all this time, after all that we know about the New York City Massacre on 9/11/01.
Even if she is honestly just an open minded person, this is an incredibly stupid answer to the question. Is she just dumb?
Just how many troofers do you know?
>> [...] But even better would be to start in on how the government handled the first World Trade Center bombing, the bombing of two embassies in Africa and the Khobar bombing as police matters, not the acts of war they were. She could have mentioned ABC’s “The Path to 9/11” which Robert Iger has hidden in a vault at Disney, refused to put on DVD and refuses to sell as evidence of who those who refused to take terrorism seriously during the Clinton adminstration are trying to hide their tracks.
(1) She fell on her ass trying to come up with “No”. Lets not overcomplicate this.
(2) There is a difference in being “involved” in the 9/11 attacks, and being culpable due to bureaucratic and policy failures. She didn’t indicate possible negligent culpability ... she inidicated possible complicity.

I never said I doubted any of those things.
Please see post 188 - not mine but I like the reasoning - just substitute Bush or Clinton or whoever for Obama.
See - we have to define truther. Someone who does not believe the things you’ve listed is what most associate with a truther I suppose - but what if you wonder about things more like the Freeper in post 188 posed?
Should you still be labeled a truther?
None
No, I am not going to do research for you.
Especially on something so obvious.
You will only truly believe it if you get off your ass and do a little work on your own for once.
Did you not understand - I know what he’s said.
Maybe you could get off your ass and support your claims!
Thank you for pointing out my spelling error, but I’m still not voting for Perry or KBH. I may not know everything like others here, but I know phoneys when I see them.
Medina sure is a nutjob. How could anyone ever vote for her especially now.
Eaker
I took your advice on google
this is what came up when i typed in Rick Perry Lies
Results 1 - 10 of about 200,000 for rick perry lies. (0.39 seconds)
Kay Bailey Hutchison Lies
Results 1 - 10 of about 34,600 for kay bailey hutchison lies. (0.19 seconds)
see even I can do it
Thanks for the tip
Politics 101. Medina failed. Horribly.
I heard the show this morning. Glenn gave her 3, count them, 3 opportunities to say directly that she is not a 9/11 Truther and she could not do it. She danced around it the first time saying it was just mud slinging. the second time she said the Truthers brought up valid questions. The third time said she does not have time to psychological testing on her staff and advisors so does not know if they are Truthers. But if they were, she would have to put that in context with what else they brought to the table.
I started out a luke-warm Perry supporter. Switched to Median and donated to her campaign. But am back to Perry now. If she can not directly say that she does not think our gov’t would kill several thousand of our own citizens, then she is not fit for office.
Ron Paul is funded by Truthers, Alex Jones, Lew Rockwell and others. If you go through his sites, the comments from his supporters are mostly Truther comments.
Ron Paul has stated we deserved to be attacked because we are Imperial America and are occupiers.
He is a toal Loon
I can claim that werewolves exist and use that method of yours to “prove” or support my claim, that isn’t the way it is done.
The problem is, we have seen government able to keep secrets in the past. That is what makes conspiracies believable.
The experiment on 400 black men with Syphillis in Tuskegee went on for 40 years until 1972. Too big? Too many people? That story was hidden for over 25 years until 1997.
We only seem to learn of these government conspiracies 25 to 50 years after the fact. That is why you have people believing we never landed on the moon.
It is patently obvious to me that the New York City Massacre and destruction of the World Trade center on 9/11/2001 was an outside job, but many people distrust their government to tell the the truth, and it leads to suspicion, even where there is no conspiracy.
I would agree, with one caveat: that I think we ought not elect people who are certifiably insane.
Which is the problem in this case. 9/11 Truthers are nuts. Period. And I’m about as far from a boot-licker as you’ll find.
