Just who is meteorologist Jeff Masters, the man behind the dubious Snowpocalypse, global warming "connection" that so many liberals like MSNBC's Dylan Ratigan, Time Magazine and the New Republic have been quoting to spread their global warming propaganda? Over the last few days, in coincidence with Snowpocalypse, the blizzards in the mid-Atlantic that have handed the region its snowiest winter ever, many liberal ideologues have abused the occasion to falsely connect the record snowfall to "proof" of global warming. We've all seen the scientifically challenged rant of Dylan Ratigan on his ultra low-rated show that no one watches and heard of Time Magazine's desperate attempt to misuse Snowpocalypse as verification of global warming. Neither is a scientist, so that begs the logical question, Just where are these liberals getting this bogus connection to global warming from? Enter Jeff Masters, a so-called meteorologist attached to the University of Michigan's Atmospheric, Oceanic and Space Sciences Department.

It’s amazing how the same crowd that can connect warming with blizzards sees no connection between tax cuts and economic recovery.
Can we use this AGW theory to predict lottery numbers ?
liberals are truly psychotic
noticed shortly after global warming hoax was exposed, the neurotic liberals went back to their pet peeves... bugging fat people, smokers, people who drink soda, etc.
truly wish these busy bodies would take a hike...
Jeff Masters probably has as much training in climatology as Al Bore, and he has ZERO education in climatology, unless thats what they taught in the divinity school that he flunked out of.
I say again, these ****-birds should not be allowed to get away with changing their shtick from “global warming” to “Climate Change(TM)”. Global warming is at least testable and falsifiable, “climate change” clearly is not. The idea of “climate change” brought about by man is clearly a pseudoscience by definition.
I pretty sure Jeff Masters is the illegitimate son of Betty Crocker and Mr. Clean
Somewhere down the line, this trumped up global warming fraud came into being so that certain groups could fleece the public of trillions of dollars and one wonders how many individuals involved in all this are or would get handouts or kickbacks from all of that. I am coming to wonder whether much of the taxation placed on hard working Americans is just one money scheme after another, leaving us poorer and poorer and less free.
Yet he can predict the weather no better than any TV weatherman.
Whe n we ahd the first Blizzard last month I said in another forum that I had just finished shoveling 20” of Global warming. 4 post later a woman replied that it can cause extremes in both directions.
Gotta love the kool-aid drinkers.
Nobelist Al Gore latched on to the notion of CO2 induced global warming while taking a survey science course at Harvard. His professor was one of the early heralds of AGWT. The fact that his professor later changed his mind did not affect Al Gore.
AGWT is extremely robust with respect to data. All observations confirm it at the 100% confidence level.
AGWT predicts everything and everything is consistent with it.
More interesting, from the point of view of a scientific theory, is the question: what observations would disprove (falsify) global warming?
A group of village idiot types are attempting burn a woman that they claim to be witch. Sir Bedevere arrives on the scene, and asks them why. They first claim that she looks like a witch - and she points out that they dressed her up. The grudgingly admit this, and then make some more outrageous claims (one says that she turned him into a newt - though he later 'got better'). Sir Bedevere then talks them through the 'logic' for checking that she is a witch - and after some false turns and lots of dim stares, they come to the following basic conclusions.
1. Witches Burn. This one is fair enough - though the villagers suggest trying to actually burn her as way of testing this.
2. Wood Burns. Hence witches are made of wood. How do you check that she is made of wood? Try building a bridge out of her, one suggests - but Bedevere points out that you can also make bridges from stone.
3. Wood Floats. Bedevere gently leads them to this point, and asks them if they know anything else that floats.
4. Ducks Float. They actually have a lot of trouble thinking of something else that floats - and it is Arthur, who has just arrived on the scene, who says: 'A Duck!' (stunned amazement and dramatic music.)
5. Therefore... The logic goes: that if she weighs the same as a duck, she's a witch and they can burn her. So they put her on a set of scales with a duck, and of course she does weigh the same.
“Its amazing how the same crowd that can connect warming with blizzards sees no connection between tax cuts and economic recovery.”
Sorry, Obamaland is a no logic zone.
However, he has really went off the deep end supporting the AGW farce. To his benefit, he doesn't ban those on his blog who disagree.
You will love this though, when I mentioned that I was researcher 20 years ago, and would have shuddered at the mention of throwing data out, one of the wu minions stated... (if you can believe)... "Extrapolation is fine as long as it supports the hypothesis". I asked him to repeat it at least 3 or 4 times, so everyone could see the mindset of these whackos.
I stopped when he posted a vile, venomous, unhinged attack against President Bush. I wish I had saved it. It was a mirror of the worst one could read at the time on Duh.
BTW, the double meaning of the term “weather underground” is no mistake. Masters is a stark raving moonbat.
