To clarify, so you support a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants?
I do because I understand why people would want to be in America. To seek the safety and prosperity, the opportunities, the health that is here. It is so important that yes, people follow the rules so that people can be treated equally and fairly in this country.

If her statements to Rush aren’t good enough, you’ll never be convinced.
Can you all give us a verified quote in which Governor Palin has repudiated her pro-amnesty position of the last campaign? I’ve seen it claimed several times so far on this thread but have never seen it actually proven.
“She has stated repeatedly since the election she is NOT for amnesty for illegals”
Thank you for that. Her opposition to Hayworth is going to make it vital for her to not only be for safe borders, but to make it crystal clear.
Isn’t it true that Obama is in favor of deporting American citizens who don’t measure up so he can bring in more Democrat voters?
Oh boy....This ought to he a real slug fest.
If yo had done a proper search, you would have realized this has been posted several times over.
That’s not the worst of it, she hates kittens too.
Do you have a transcript of those remarks?
Can you give us a link to a verified quote?
Obama is for transparency in government!
I would prefer to hear her say something like, “We already have a path to citizenship and thousands of people avail themselves to the process every year.”
First time I saw it.
Maybe you should have posted the relevant Q&A completely.
Do you then favor an amnesty for the 12 or 13 million undocumented immigrants?
No, I do not. I do not. Not total amnesty. You know, people have got to follow the rules. They’ve got to follow the bar, and we have got to make sure that there is equal opportunity and those who are here legally should be first in line for services being provided and those opportunities that this great country provides.

Amnesty is a slap in the face to every immigrant that ever
came to this country legally and worked their tail off to
learn our language, and build a new life.
Amnesty no, a path to citizenship yes. Big difference.
You lied about the title didn’t you?

Governor, let me ask you about immigration. How many undocumented immigrants are there in Alaska?
I don’t know, I don’t know. That’s a good question.
As governor, how do you deal with them? Do you think they all should be deported?
There is no way that in the US we would roundup every illegal immigrant -there are about 12 million of the illegal immigrants- not only economically is that just an impossibility but that’s not a humane way anyway to deal with the issue that we face with illegal immigration.

I didn’t find the amnesty quotes at the link, but when running with McCain, Palin expressed support for all his policies, which was completely appropriate.
As I recall McCain’s plan, it involved people returning to Mexico (or wherever) and waiting a period of years for a legal reentry. Correct me if I’m wrong. In any event, people would not even go near it because they are so opposed to amnesty.
If I heard that you robbed a bank back in 1982, would it make a difference when that truth came out? In the last election she was involved in, she stated she was for amnesty (less than two years ago). That means that she's either a flip-flopper or a panderer, neither of which appeal to me.
IBTZ!
No, she hates slugs, too!
