Doubtful. I don’t think a Republican could win that seat under any circumstances.
Look at those percentages: that’s got to be a safe Democrat seat—even in 2010!
I don’t pretend to know the why of it, but getting rid of her would be excellent.
Another one bites the dust.
Our senate and congress is filled with dumbasses, liberals,
assclowns, thieves, liars, and a bunch of too old fools.
Diane Watson, 76?
Go drool at your own home ya relic.
Hill Hale?
With the dem's numbers like 75% (00), 83% (02), 89% (04), 91% (06) and 87% (08), unfortunately, looks like you're right.
Rubbing hands together in glee!!!!!!!!
It could be an interesting race if the right conservative minority candidate would enter the race.
Well...she definitely left her district better than she found it (extreme sarcasm)
With those past victory margins? Hardly. This is a safe Dem seat and they'll find a like-minded Democrat to fill it.
I am happy to see this hideous woman out, but we won’t have a chance in that district and may get something worse.
She’s the Maxine Waters twin and the voters in her district loves her.
she was facing a primary from Newell

if a pro-family Hispanic ran in the DEM PRIMARY, conservatives would be too dumb to finance his race.
I live in the district. My vote is a waste.

The primary is in June. It could be a wasted opportunity again. This guy deserves a challenge ... but he’s not running as the total loon Castro-supporting lefty.
I know Diane Watson, and know the district she reprsents. It is basically central City of Los Angeles, and it is definitely safe Dem unless something beyond extraordinary happens. It’s one of those districts that doesn’t even need to be Gerrymandered to make it safe Dem.
There is no such thing in that district. I expect at least one Mexican-American Dem to run for the seat. Not sure about blacks, as as the Mexicans have been displacing them in what was once a black stronghold. No matter who the Republican candidate turns out to be (if there even will be one), I can guarantee you people on this forum would consider him/her to be a "RINO."

This being the midterm, Dr. Alan Keyes is available.
(He runs for President or Senator on Presidential years, since 1988)
