CNSNews.com) – At a ceremony at the White House on Tuesday, First Lady Michelle Obama announced the launch of the ‘Let’s Move’ campaign to end childhood obesity in the United States, an epidemic she said is costly and a threat to national security.
“A recent study put the health care cost of obesity-related diseases at $147 billion a year,” Mrs. Obama said. “This epidemic also impacts the nation’s security, as obesity is now one of the most common disqualifiers for military service.”

first it is about time she decided to champion a cause and this should have been done months ago.
secondly who the hell is this fat arse telling about being overweight.

for the record all my kids in middle and elementary school are all athletic, they eat no junk food except birthday parties they go to.
I feed them what I want when I want when I say I certainly don’t need a fat arse telling me what to feed my kids.
Now she makes a few more jobs from the fed Govt.
Maybe she needs to go to certain areas in this country and see what the welfare layabouts are spending the money given to them on.
here’s a thought for her, go to these certain places in America and ban welfare layabouts from getting junk food with food stamps, nah course not because she knows she will lose a big voting block.
Make these welfare layabouts spend my tax money through the way of food stamps on veggies and other healthy food.
I’ll believe that when I see it same as her going out and actually working for a week.

IMO, this is nothing but to further groom the serfs for the Government takeover of health care, it's been going on for a while.
If they ever get this past they'll have a reason to control everything you do in life....after all anything you do can adversely affect health care costs...what you eat, drink or kind of car you drive, what kind of bath tub you have etc., not to mention the regulatory powers it will give them over business's.
