Paul Schiffer, Congressional Candidate in Ohio, has taken the pledge of the American Council for Immigration Reform to oppose amnesty in any form for illegal aliens, and to push for the enforcement of Americas laws, with the goal that trespassers in the United States will voluntarily return to the countries where they have a home and a place of their own. Paul Schiffer pledged:
I pledge to oppose amnesty or any other special path to citizenship for the millions of foreign nationals unlawfully present in the United States. As a member of Congress, I will support the full implementation of enforcement measures that, over time, will lead to the attrition of our illegal immigrant population. I also pledge to make security of our borders a top priority.
Schiffer clarified: Which immigrant will make a better future citizen? Someone who shows respect for Americas laws or one who shows contempt? There is no comparison between law-abiding immigrants who honorably become U.S. citizens and those who trample our laws. We honor and respect immigrants who show respect for the laws of the country they wish to join.

WELL DONE!
They all should commit to those things. I’ve been thinking the Tea Parties should draft their own contract with America and get congressional candidates to sign on.
I agree. I have suggested a tea party pledge to some local tea party groups. I wish I knew whom to talk to about it.
It would be tough to boil down a list of key things that everyone agrees on, but not impossible.
Does anyone know the race and does he have a chance in liberal Northern Ohio?
The 16th Congressional District is a Republican-leaning enclave that was held by Republican Ralph Regula for 33 years. When Regula retired, during the Obama tsunami, a Democrat took the seat, Boccieri.
So in the current enviroment, whomever wins the Republican primary is just about guaranteed to win the seat in November.
But raising money is a real problem.
