China's state-controlled media interviewed a group of senior Chinese military officers who are also telling Beijing's leaders to boost defense spending and expand force deployments. This is in retaliation for the Pentagon's announcement in January 2010 of the new $6.4 million arms package for Taiwan.

As if the Chinese could cause any more damage to the USA then Obama and his goons are causing. The biggest threat to America is in Washhington, DC.

Commence the trade war!

It’s that, or a real one later...

(not too much later, though)

AMERICA FIRST.

Just a matter of time. I saw something here last night about Taiwan canceling or maybe they got canceled an order for submarines...

>> They have much to lose.

They do... but as soon as the Chinese, in their own eyes, are confident they have the leverage to get away with it, they will become very aggressive — planning not to lose, but to win.

In light of the above, even China's threatening to do this is a plus. Maybe one or two more Congressmen in DC will wake up.

I’ve got a better idea: before starting the trade war, how about balancing our budget?

We should hold a press conference and add an additional 3 fighter jets at half price lol.

These Chinese are getting a little to cocky and it time for them to be b slapped slightly.

They have much to lose.

Yes, they do. Tons of China made goods are sold in the U.S. each year. They'd be hurting themselves just as much.

“why do we care about Taiwan?”

Maybe its got something to do with sticking with long and true friends.

“tired of being the worlds policeman, and not getting paid for it.”

You need to get out from under that rock you’ve been hiding under. Ever hear of National Security Interests?

Ever hear of National Security Interests?

Maybe you could enumerate them and shine a light onto his dungeon of ignorance.

They have much to lose.

Maybe not.   Interest rates will be going back up and that means T-bill values will plummet.  China needs to dump the notes regardless, and this 'Taiwan nonsense' just might be the convenient excuse they were waiting for.
