Sorry to be a wet blanket, but someone has to do it.
The Miss Me Yet? billboard (inspired by Jonathan Maneys t-shirts) is cute. But lets not get carried away with nostalgia.
President Bush put America on the proper war footing after 9/11 and deserves much credit for doing so, but he also:
1) joined with open-borders progressives McCain and Kennedy to try to force shamnesty down our throats;
2) massively expanded the federal role in education;
3) championed the Medicare prescription drug entitlement using phony math;
4) kowtowed to the jihadi-enabling Saudis;
5) stocked DHS with incompetents and cronies;
6) pushed Hillarycare for housing;
7) enabled turncoat Arlen Specter;
8. nominated crony Harriet Myers to the Supreme Court;
9) pre-socialized the economy for Obama by embracing TARP, the auto bailouts, the AIG bailout, and in his own words:
Ive abandoned free-market principles to save the free-market system. George W. Bush
No, I dont miss having a corporate socialist Republican in the White House any more than I like having a corporate socialist Democrat in the White House now.
Excellent observation.
It's just easier to blame Bush for everything. Doesn't require critical thinking skills.......if you know what I mean.......
And it gets you points with your group think buddies. (Oh, you're COOL man! You said really nasty things about Bush! ;*)
I would love to see a similiar sign with Dick Cheney holding a shotgun and saying the same thing.
Isn't that what a columnist is supposed to do? It's pretty much the job description.
Well said.
And yet another earlier post ..........

Another Party Fist RINO.
You would not know a conservative if you were Bitch slapped and Bull dozed by one.
So you like Bush
1) Prosecuting Marines and border patrol?
2) Allowing Illegals to stay here
3) No Child Left Behind (with Ted Kennedy)
4) Dubai Ports Deal
5) Saying there were no WMDs in Iraq after his party defended him about the invasion of Iraq
6) Sending Billions to Africa for Aids
7) Selling out American jobs (GATT, NAFTA, Etc)
8) Largest expansion of Government (Outside the war on Terror)
9) Tried to put a liberal on the Supreme Court until the conservatives raised a lot of hell to stop it.
Need I say anymore??? Yeah THAT is what I want... LOL!

Add to your list of Dubya accomplishments the political nominees across Exec. branch departments and agencies that worked for 8 hard years trying to unravel the damage done by eight years of Clintoon appointments. I don’t know much about HSA, but I do know several Bush appointees in other Departments, and I know the horror stories of what they encountered, all the while working against a hostile Government employee establishment, a hostile press, and in ‘01-03, and from ‘06 onward, a hostile Congress.
It’s certainly not uniform, but for the most part these folks did untold good for the nation.
The Bush haters all have their "sources." Who knows where they come from? Hint.....lots of leftists have them too.
Good to see so many facts all put together in one place like that.
Thanks, A. Hun!
would that be the ‘get it to my desk and Ill sign it’ AWB ???
I am not a big MM fan. Use to like her but her negativity seems to just bug me lately.
She is not a Sarah Palin who can make you proud to be an American, ditto for the first 4 years of President Bush.
People you are too hard on Bush. We used to hear about old folks eating dog food to pay for prescriptions. Bush at least let private insurance companies compete for the Part D coverage.
Also, he brought the rule of law to 52 million Muslims and it might cause the greatest change for the good since Satan walked the earth 1300 years ago.
I built up my list the old fashioned way - I did it myself.
There are many things I disliked about GWBush. There is NOTHING that I disliked about Bush that Obama is not an order of magnitude worse on. Electing Dims is the worst possible solution to bad Republicans.
Bump that!!
She says in her first words that this is Michelle drawing attention to Michelle.
Well, it worked. So I guess she did what she intended to do.
The problem for her is that it doesn't hurt President Bush, nor his honor and integrity one single bit. He did what he believed to be the right thing, and he is comfortable that he did his best. He knows that every decision he made wasn't the right one, but that he always had what was best for America in mind.
Other than giving some disgruntled Bush-haters a chance to spew venom, this article accomplishes absolutely nothing.
Other than to draw attention to Michelle, that is.....
So congrats on a (useless) job well done. Pat yourself on the back, fishtank.
You’re certainly welcome to it...PD put it together originally.
Good to see you ohio, and even better to see FR waking up to the ridiculous Bush bashing that has been going on here for a long time!
Obama is showing us how blessed we were to have GWB instead of Kerry or Gore....even if GWB wasn’t a perfect conservative.
He should have vetoed the Campaign Finance Reform bill. He said he believed it was unconstitutional, and obviously believed that it was bad for the country, but failing to do his duty in that instance was pure gutlessness.
Yawn, yet another counter-productive thread on FR.
Good troll bait tho!
