ROMULUS, Mich. A portion of a terminal at Detroit Metropolitan Airport was evacuated Monday after a man walked through a passenger screening checkpoint and refused to obey security officers, officials said.
The passenger failed to stop about 7:45 a.m. at the McNamara Terminal, the Transportation Security Administration said. The man was arrested by airport police and was being questioned, airport spokesman Mike Conway said.
"The Transportation Security Administration asked him to stop and he didn't comply," Conway said.
TSA workers activated an alarm and called police. Security doors were lowered at the portion of the terminal between the security checkpoint and terminal concourse, and people in that area were evacuated, Conway said.

Yes, and yes.
Blah, I’m flying out of Metro in a couple of weeks. Hope the crazies are history by then!
God IS looking for spiritual fruits. Hope your flight goes well. We are scheduled to fly 3,000 miles across America from the east to the west in a few weeks. Have already paid for the tickets. If I think the process will be insecure (based on acts like the one in this thread in Detroit, or like the one experienced on the plane in the earlier post on this thread, one of two things will happen: we’ll drive; or I’ll be the one quietly, yet significantly and with force aforethought, commandering the cellphones from the two miscreants and encouraging them to simply behave as civilized people (and to obey the flight attendant). Flying has become a pain in the posterior to we who are generally law abiding citizens. It’s time to take our country back. Count me in.

Thread Bump.
Kaylan Policherla 27, a native of India, became a U.S. citizen in 2005 and resides in Bryan, Ohio.
THANKS rl6989.
I’ll add this link, too:
“Man arrested after Detroit airport security breach”
SNIPPET: “In a criminal complaint filed with U.S. District Court in Detroit, FBI agent Michael Thomas said the man, identified as Kaylan L. Policherla, walked through the checkpoint and a metal detector with his hands in his jacket pockets.
Transportation Security Administration workers activated an alarm, security doors were lowered at the portion of the terminal between the security checkpoint and terminal concourse, and people were evacuated from that area, airport spokesman Mike Conway said.
A TSA screener followed Policherla until airport police arrived and ordered him to stop, Thomas said. An officer discharged a Taser at Policherla but it had no effect, and officers then wrestled him to the floor and handcuffed him, Thomas said.”
SNIPPET: “The complaint said Policherla was born in 1982 and his car, a Volkswagen Passat with Ohio license plates, was illegally parked outside the McNamara Terminal before he entered the building. The vehicle was searched and towed.”

This guy was asking for trouble.

Wow, same story, different headlines to search for!
I’m just idly wondering what the latest no-fly list says about overly endowed upper chest Islamic women right now.
TSA must be having some interesting questions about checking “under the hood” to any burka covered women.
Thanks, Cindy.
I was sitting near them and I watched them, and in fact then the flight attendant came and sat directly behind them, so I suspect that she had conferred with someone, possibly the captain, and been told to keep an eye on them.
They both spoke a fair amount of English, but one of them was probably directly from the ME (he was wearing flip-flops, despite the fact that the weather was cold and wet).
In retrospect, I think it would have been better to have made a fuss, even if it had resulted in a delay. These guys seem to have been nothing but rude and behaving with the usual Muslim contempt for our rules. But certainly, if Muslims see that it is possible to get away with this behavior on that airline (it was operated by some small company as a feeder for a larger line), it will obviously occur to the terrorists among them that this is an easy target.
Hmmm most likely not Hindu -——

SNIPPET: “The Wayne County prosecutor’s office lists Policherla’s first name as Kalyan, but federal authorities list his first name as Kaylan.
Messages were left Tuesday at Ohio phone numbers under Policherla’s last name.”
