Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin stumped for Gov. Rick Perry at a rally Sunday in suburban Houston, adding some national Republican star power to Perry's re-election campaign.
I doubt there is another public figure in our country who gives liberals a bigger case of the hives than our special guest today, Perry said. At the very mention of her name, the liberals, the progressives, the media elites, they literally foam at the mouth.
Palin appeared with Perry a day after the Republicans' most recent vice-presidential nominee addressed the first national convention of the anti-establishment tea party coalition in Nashville, Tenn.
Perry is firmly establishment in Texas but has campaigned as anti-Washington in his March 2 GOP primary race against U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison. He is seeking a third four-year term that would add to his tenure as the longest-serving governor in Texas history.

Yawn.
Clearly, you support amnesty then.
Okay, then. I see that is your concern, now can you please back up your opinion by showing me where she has flip-flopped? I would like to see statements she has made to this effect, with links.
she supports amnesty then she is against it
I have never heard any statement she has made where she said she supported amnesty. Can you please show where she said this? Maybe you are referring to the Presidential campaign trail where she supported McCain policies on this issue. I'm not sure what people expected her to do - do you think blasting him on the issue as his running mate would have helped them get elected?
,but supports candidates like Perry and Mccain that are open borders politicians. As for McCain and Perry. For one, she has been clear she does not agree with McCain on many things. She is simply endorsing them, not becoming political soul mates with them. Endorsing does not mean agreeing with. In fact, in this case, endorsing is more of a prid pro quo. As a country we have political "allies" but don't agree with everything they do, right? This is much the same thing.
There is a great deal of difference in supporting and worshipping someone. I do not think, nor have I ever thought Sarah was perfect. I am sure she has made mistakes personally and politically. She admits to mistakes she's made in her book. However, can I look at her mistakes and still support her? Sure. Why not. There is no perfect candidate. I support her because her values morally, spiritually, politically and fiscally best match my own. NOT because I think she's perfect. The only one I worship, and will EVER worship is God.
Gotcha. I knew you were talking in your sleep.
Yawn.
Amnesty
Governor, let me ask you about immigration. How many undocumented immigrants are there in Alaska?
I don't know, I don't know. That's a good question. As governor, how do you deal with them? Do you think they all should be deported?
There is no way that in the US we would roundup every illegal immigrant -there are about 12 million of the illegal immigrants- not only economically is that just an impossibility but that's not a humane way anyway to deal with the issue that we face with illegal immigration.Do you then favor an amnesty for the 12 or 13 million undocumented immigrants?
No, I do not. I do not. Not total amnesty. You know, people have got to follow the rules. They've got to follow the bar, and we have got to make sure that there is equal opportunity and those who are here legally should be first in line for services being provided and those opportunities that this great country provides. To clarify, so you support a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants?
I do because I understand why people would want to be in America. To seek the safety and prosperity, the opportunities, the health that is here. It is so important that yes, people follow the rules so that people can be treated equally and fairly in this country. And the last question would be about politics. You only have two more weeks left...
YesWhat is your strategy? How are you planning to win the latino vote?
I will tell you, I wish that there were more hours in the day so that we can get out there and to more of the communities with such the strong Latino vote that is out there and really tell them that we desire to work for them. We are asking them to hire us and let us work for them.Thank you so much. It would be impossible to ask you to say a few words in Spanish, right?
Oh my good-well, I don't want to embarrass myself, but but gracias and I do thank you so much for this opportunity. I appreciate it.Thank you, muchas gracias, thank you.
Thanks for sharing that.
I read it through 3 times and it still doesn’t read like she supported amnesty to me. She said no to amnesty and no to illegal immigration in that statement.
She seems to be for legal immigration. But I am also for legal immigration, with limits on numbers. If a person is against all immigration, I guess her stance would really bother them.
I don’t see amnesty and legal immigration as the same thing at all. Are people using these words interchangeably?
im in no way accusing you of worshipping Palin but I feel SOME of her supporters dont like anyone to question her decisions or actions, in their book you are a troll or fear Palin. I do not fear her I fear Obama, I fear uninformed citizens,I fear an upcoming world government etc... I see her as any other politician making speeches to satisfy some conservatives.
The only real problem or item I’d like her to expand on is the statement about not being able to round all 12 million illegals up and remove them. I don’t know if she wants them to voluntary deport and then come back or just get in line behind those that are here legally with visas, work permits, etc.
The illegal alien problem is real and is a huge expense for this country and tax payers. Until we actually lock down and secure the borders I guess it will remain so. People will always attempt to flee to a better country or way of life
you don’t use critical thinking ,you use critical bashing... big diffrence ~~~~~~~
Endorsing does not mean agreeing with.
Endorse means to support. I support my husband, but I don’t always agree with him.
The media and the political establishment has made a mistake. They have confused Sarah Palin with the McCain campaign led by those liberal Yuppies Steve Schmidt(gay lover)and Nicole Wallace (That Katie Courice wantabe BFF). Sarah didn’t win campaigns in Alaska fighting the whole machine in her own party and against the corporate interest by being a dunderhead and those in Washington had better wake up because a Northern Moose hunter is coming to Washington to cull the herd.
So true. Meanwhile the whole left-establishment is quaking in their boots at the prospect of Palin and the Tea Party arriving to crush them into dust. I think they see the foundations of their power crumbling even now.
I’m just curious, because today is the first I’ve heard any negatives, but is the Beck interview giving you and your wife pause or was her subsequent statement that she wasn’t a truther enough to keep your votes? Again, I’m just curious, because none of the candidates look terrific to me, and I have to admit, I’m glad I don’t have to choose one.
My Post to this thread was Feb.7th BEFORE she derailed her campaign on the Glenn Beck Show by not just giving a simple “No” answer to a very simple question.
She blew it. I’ve e-mailed everyone to whom, I endorsed her candidacy, and told them that I’m withdrawing my support for Debra Medina.
She has no one to blame but herself. Her ardent supporters are saying that Glenn Beck set her up. Well, so what? Her answer, still, was NOT acceptable.
Yes, I realize that your previous reply was before the interview; that’s why I was interested in hearing what some of her supporters thought of her statement afterwards. Thank you for your reply. It’s very disappointing when so much else I’d heard sounded so good.
Its very disappointing when so much else Id heard sounded so good.

Well, I’m sorry to disappoint you. But, if you “heard” much that sounded “good”, you didn’t hear it here on Free Republic. After the interview, people on here were livid. I looked other places trying to find a reason to continue supporting her; came up empty. Except at her website where they were accusing Glenn Beck of “setting up” Mrs. Medina. Man, that “conspiracy” spirit is just hard to oppress.
Hey, I might still vote for her. I just don’t think she has the chance of that proverbial snowball in hell.
