An explosion in Middletown, Connecticut has rocked the town. Initial reports are that about a dozen people have been injured.
Middletown, United States - The Middletown Fire Department just said in a phone interview that they are in the process of putting out a second alarm. There are an unknown number of casualities. got it, thanks
Just heard that- 250 INJURED? That’s pretty amazing.
God bless- what a nightmare.
Wow!!! Great!!! Homeland Security has been called to the scene. I guess we can expect another lackluster performance from POTUS Barack Hussein Obama and his braindead Homeland Security Secretary, Janet “deadbeat” Napolitano!!! I wonder if POTUS Obam will take time from his Super Bowl Sunday party to tend to the nation’s business!!! I doubt it!!! I hope and pray injuries and deaths are at an absolute minimum. The news from the site does not appear to be positive. I am sure the CT “first responders will do an outstanding job of preserving and maintaining life as soon as possible. This does not sound like a “terrorist” attack, but who knows?
what exactly do they make there folks?
“There were about 100 people inside the plant today where they were supposed to be testing some upgrades made recently to the facility.”
I wouldn’t have been doing such today, myself. I realize the thinking that some things just must be done on a strict schedule and damn the calendar, clock or events, but, I’ve never agreed with that having to be done to the nth degree. I would prefer to be as sure as possible all my people were focused 100% on the job at hand that day.
Is this anywhere near you?
I live on the top/5th floor of my apartment building here in Meriden... the concussion rocked the building about 12-18 inches and then it fell back, .... felt like it came off the foundation!
Thoughts are with those who are there now....

(Meriden is about a 20 minute drive)
That’s NRG, not the Kleen Energy plant.

I can’t help but wonder if there were any injuries or damage beyond the plant.
