I have used my wrist for notes for decades. You cannot use your hand, because it sweats too much. Ball point pens fail in the environment. So even in the midst of a speech to a national audience, the cool under fire Mrs. Palin can write on her palm and be able to read it. Beats a teleprompter all to pieces.
