I'm in total agreement that a 3rd party fails us, but I suspect the Pubbie establishment should be able to adapt easily....after all, it's mostly a message about taxes and spending, imho. And some of the up and coming pubblies (Paul Ryan for example) are likely in complete sync with us.

.....and I think Palin would agree with most of that.

What Mitch Daniels had to say:

Don’t reuse the Tarp funds but put them back in the treasury.
Don’e spend any unspent stimulus money, because it’s had no effect.
Quite making everyone in the country think you are getting ready to raise taxes. Scrap Cap and Trade.
Get serious about paying down some of the debt so that foreign countries won’t think our economy is heading over a cliff.
No one was more unhappy than he about the deficits during the Bush administration. They routinely would send budgets to Congress and the budget would come back to them with lots of stuff added on. GOP as guilty as democrats some years.
He trusts Jindal to honor his bet with Daniels, unlike the Governor of Maryland, who did not.

" As always, soliciting FReeper comments, observations, and opinions."

Mrs Palin very aggressive in responding, while remaining feminine, to Chris Wallace's equally aggressive questioning. She also has an Israeli/USA flag pin attached to her jacket.

Sit back and relax, folks. Greenspan says the recession is over.

Paulson says all will be well because he has faith in the private sector. Hopey/Changey.

Wallace (Mitt's second "wife"?) keeps pushing Romney.

First, he asks Gov. Palin, is he not the leader? What does she think?
Then, Wallace pushes a fake poll showing Gov Palin only 4 pts. ahead of Mitt.

The REAL DEAL: Here at FR is the recent poll:
RESULTS – Feb. 2010 Early Freerepublic.com straw vote
Palin - 102 votes - THE WINNER
None Of The Above - 12 votes
Barbour - 10 votes
Hunter - 8 votes
Demint - 7 votes
Pence - 3 votes
Ryan - 3 votes
Jindal - 2 votes
Jeb Bush - 2 votes
Liz Cheney - 2 votes
Mitch Daniels - 2 votes
Newt Gingrich - 2 votes
Thune, Gary Johnson, Joe Wilson, Scott Brown and Rick Perry - each 1 vote.
Romney and Huckabee (Wallace's favs) - zero,no, votes

She is doing awesome. She’s an unconventional “politician”, and that’s refreshing. Says obama wouldn’t get elected today. If he changes and comes out much stronger on things like national security, his chances might be better in 3 years.

The ironic thing about many black southerners is that with the rampant crime in their communities many older black residents are more conservative than most whites! They share many or our same values longing for law and order, are very religious, etc etc. yet don't have a clue who or what they have voted for!

Huckabee had some guest last night who talked about the crime rate dropping to levels not seen since the 1960's, even while the economy tanks. What was not discussed, is what impact the return of illegal aliens to their country of origin has on the crime rate. I thought that California (as an example) has a prison population that is 1/4 illegal (or something like that) so if the illegals are leaving the country it makes sense that there are fewer of them around to commit crimes.

Oh well; I guess the two things are not connected.

The Palin family were highlighted in a recent In Touch magazine - and little Trig looks great - strong and happy and an equal member of his family.

The more that people allow Sarah to discuss raising children with special needs, the more Americans will learn about the joys and successes of doing so.

That poll may show her “only” 4 points ahead, but a few weeks ago HUCKABEE was at the top.

Palin - Terrorists aren’t worthy of our Constitutional rights.

Exactly!!!

Who in their right mind, and especially the Founding Fathers, actually think that foreigners coming from foreign lands, or still yet in foreign lands, Hell bent on killing innocent Americans, are We The People?

Do the progressive liberals and activist judges, renowned left wing Constitutional scholars and trial lawyers of every stripe really want to make that argument?

It's a horrible twst of illogical thinking.

We the People doesn't mean the whole world. It means our countrymen.

To say otherwise would actually promote the Bush/Cheney Doctrine the Left so hates. In other words, if We The People means every living soul, world-wide, then we are obligated to conquer their dictators and impose the Constitution, world-wide.

lawyers--they'll be the death of Civilization.

“Don’t reuse the Tarp funds but put them back in the treasury.”

Is the highjacking of TARP funds to small businesses really a cover for an onslaught of defaults coming down the pike?

So far MTP has been nothing but an unpaid ad for Ozero.

This is simply of no use whatever.

Paulson said his wife woke him when Ozero won and he went back to sleep confident that the country was in good hands.

I think he could go back to sleep because now he was confidient they could cover up what they had done and intended to do.

Podesta, This Week- says Obama is going to push on with HC bill and Cap and Trade.

......and obama is going to keep "trying" to push this country and his dem friends over the cliff. I liked Palin's comments on Fox about obama's being deaf to the public's wants. He expects others to "listen up", not to do any listening.
