The ironic thing about many black southerners is that with the rampant crime in their communities many older black residents are more conservative than most whites! They share many or our same values longing for law and order,are very religious,etc etc. yet don't have a clue who or what they have voted for!

Huckabee had some guest last night who talked about the crime rate dropping to levels not seen since the 1960's, even while the economy tanks. What was not discussed, is what impact the return of illegal aliens to their country of origin has on the crime rate. I thought that California (as an example) has a prison population that is 1/4 illegal (or something like that) so if the illegals are leaving the country it makes sense that there are fewer of them around to commit crimes.

Oh well; I guess the two things are not connected.

At one time, I don’t know about now, almost half of young black males were “in” prison or “had been”,a staggering statistic.

Interesting point. Also connected is the explosion in gun-ownership.
