Appearing on HLN's Feb. 4 "The Joy Behar Show," Winstead - co-creator Comedy Central's "The Daily Show," host of a show for the now-defunct Air America radio network and former executive producer for MSNBC's "Weekends with Maury and Connie" - took a critical shot at Fox News host Glenn Beck.

"He should be institutionalized," Winstead said. "First of all Glenn Beck, why is he even on television? I think it's somehow abusive to have Glenn Beck on TV because he seems mentally unstable."

You're absolutely right ... in what you say about the liberals using that "birther issue" against the conservatives.

I'll confirm that to anyone -- that you have been on the "birther issue" for a very long time before... I should know since I've heard many posts "back at me" from you... in the past... LOL...

But, all that aside, I'm glad you see how the liberals are using this issue as a wedge and also to the general voting public -- to marginalize conservatives. That's exactly what a lot of conservatives were worried about before.

Having said that, I still think a state law requiring a birth certificate for all candidates would not be a "big issue" that the liberals could "use" against conservatives, because it's something that applies to all candidates and is something very reasonable, in and of itself. I think something like that can be put through fairly easily before the next Presidential election.

Yes, you're right -- in terms of the "documentation required".

In fairness, though, I'm sure, in the past, that everyone was always thinking that the "political process" would always bring out any relevant information that would "sink a candidate" and cause him to lose support.

However, in Obama's case, this didn't work...

So, we do need a law requiring specific documentation for this office (and for the purposes of this kind of state law -- "any office")

Well, they happen to hire lawyers at the State of Hawaii, too... like they do in other states... :-)

As for the "error"... you may not be aware of it, but this is disputed in legal circles... and so, you're never going to get a final answer on your position (that you take on it) until the Supreme Court decides it. Ping me when you get that decision... :-)
