Beck Should Be Institutionalized, 'Abusive' to Have Him on TV Says 'Daily Show' Creator
NewsBusters ^ | February 5, 2010 | Jeff Poor

Don't have the clout to get "The Daily Show's" Jon Stewart on your primetime program like Fox News Channel's Bill O'Reilly? You can always opt for Lizz Winstead.

Appearing on HLN's Feb. 4 "The Joy Behar Show," Winstead - co-creator Comedy Central's "The Daily Show," host of a show for the now-defunct Air America radio network and former executive producer for MSNBC's "Weekends with Maury and Connie" - took a critical shot at Fox News host Glenn Beck.

"He should be institutionalized," Winstead said. "First of all Glenn Beck, why is he even on television? I think it's somehow abusive to have Glenn Beck on TV because he seems mentally unstable."

Beck is gutting the far left and taking a good look at the entrails.

It’s a speculative pursuit => but not as “speculative” as Dan Rather fabricating documents!

The more they go after Beck, the more they draw attention to Beck.

It’s a good thing!

Got it. People who question Obamas Constitutional Eligibility. I have no problem with citizens questioning the Government. I do have a problem when government refuses to answer specific questions. I wonder why they would do that? Why would they?

The "crazies" support nutty attorneys like Orly Taitz (that's a laugh even saying the name) -- while rational conservatives will back things that make a difference and get something done...

For example, something that will make a difference (in the "birth certificate issue") is something that I've been posting about since right after the election, and it's just barely catching on with some conservatives and some states.

It's that the states need to pass a law that makes it a legal requirement for a candidate to show his birth certificate or else he cannot be on the ballot. It's as simple as that for a solution to getting the birth certificate...

But, of course, that's way too easy for some crazies... :-)

And, by the way, four state did put up legislation for that purpose last year. They were Oklahoma, Arizona, Texas, and Missouri. I do know that in Oklahoma it failed (because I'm here...). But, we'll work on it again this year...

>>> "Meanwhile, wackjob, Matthews is sane??? OMG, hypocrisy extraordinaire." <<<<

I've often stated that I cannot believe that nobody has taken Chris Matthews to a TEAM of top neurologists. It's obvious to me that he needs a neuro workup, there's something really wrong with The Left Leg Tingler, and it's amazing that he has no friends, associates, coworkers or family members who have taken him to the doctor, he is so far gone, it's just pathetic. Where Chrissie has a medical problem, I believe that Keithie has always been a loner loser, LOL, no change there.

Beck's voice has occasionally gotten on my nerves over the years, so much so, that I've actually had to turn off the radio as it hurt my ears. I've always understood how some of his antics and his preposterous bluster and/or too intense personality grate people the wrong way.

However, when he got green eyed jealous of Senator Scott Brown and had the gall to denounce him and his daughters, THAT was my final straw with Beck. He is NO longer permitted in this house, neither on the radio or TV.

I don't care what he decides to do in the future, I don't care what guests he presents, I don't care if he breaks an important story -- insofar as we are concerned, he is FINISHED and we'll never listen/watch him again for any reason whatsoever.

Nothing new here. Libs have thought this way about all Republicans, and not just Beck, since I was a kid many years ago. Nothings changed because libs like Winstead, who like most female libs have their party loyalty staked on one issue, abortion, have never understood conservatism. Before they are allowed to criticize conservatives, libs should be made to first read Hayek’s “The Road to Serfom.” We’re dealing with reality-challenged nincompoops.

Oh, one more thing... from the time you asked what a birther was... to the time you took to read the messages and find out what they were... was about 7 minutes... LOL...

My, you are a fast reader to go through those threads that fast and find out what a birther was... :-)

I am amazed they do not already have such a law. I will recommend it to my local state senator. This should have been investigated before he was allowed the nomination. I wonder why he was not checked out?

Exactly! The more their plans and corruption are exposed the more they protest. God bless Glen Beck and everyone else that sees through the B.S. It’s the only true hope for America.

Wish they’d put Glenn in that O’Reilly time spot. Maybe they could send O’Reilly over to MSNBC or The View?

You're more than welcome to post their official announcement, too -- to that effect... :-)

The so called “Birthers” are not idiots. We are a movement that understands that OBAMA does not meet the eligibility requirements per Article 2 Section 1 Clause 5 of the U.S. Constitution in that to be eligible for POTUS you have to be a Natural Born U.S. citizen. If my respect for the Constiution of the United States makes me a moron then so be it.

Look at the destruction that OBAMA has done on this country in one year and he has 3 more years to completely destroy this great nation. However, when the first lawsuit that challenges OBAMA eligiblility to be POTUS reaches the Supreme Court then he is done because he will be forced to step down and the Democrat Party will be dealt a blow that they will never recover from! I bet justice Sam Alito is looking forward to this!

Well... you see... that's the loophole that everyone found out that existed. Actually, I think that anyone who really knew about these things knew that before and it didn't take Obama to show it up. But, for the average voter, I don't think they knew that there is no legal requirement for a candidate to show his birth certificate.

And there you have the problem -- and along with knowing what the problem is -- you automatically have the solution to it -- the state law to that effect. :-)

Its amazing how much I’m learning from watching his show.

I am embarrassed how much I have learned from Glen and I went to school back when they actually taught American History. In my defense, I had the most boring woman in the WORLD as a teacher. I pinched myself everyday in her class just to keep my eyes open. Glen makes it interesting.

I guess you aren’t smart enough to realize that I’ve been on the BC issue since before the election. I’m calling you morons for falling for the left’s game.

Squeal like a pig all you want. I don’t expect or care if everybody agrees with me or not.

"You have to pay a premium to get FOX"

Believe me...when compared with the rest of the fare out there, it's worth the extra money to get FOX.

When I signed up for DISH, about 10 years ago, they asked me which package I wanted and I specified, "The cheapest one you've got where I get FOX News Network.", and I've been very happy with it ever since.

No, I don't work for FOX, or DISH.
