its a shame... the air force was making forward progress with this...

this reminds me of the times of king bluetooth and jael haakon, gets my norse blood boiling.

Why cant people understand that in America we have the freedom of religion and that not all people who are good and conservative worship the god of adam, eve, and abraham...

we would (and do) die for this great country we share.

This *is* just like throwing a swastika on a Jewish temple. This should not be dismissed lightly.

LOL, yeah, it’s a real nightmare.

How would General George Washington handle this?

I agree one shouldn’t dismiss the incident lightly, but one shouldn’t also overreact to it.

Freedom of religion gives pagans the right to worship as they please. Freedom of speech gives others the right to tell the pagans their religion is a joke or worse, an abomination.

It’s one thing to tell people to leave the stupid witches alone, to respect their right to “worship” in peace. It’s something else to equate the cross with hate speech.

No worse than finding a Muslim crescent nailed up in a Church.

This *is* just like throwing a swastika on a Jewish temple.

You go too far. Muslims kill my brothers and sisters every day, Nazis killed six millions Jews and there is growing anti-Semitism across the planet today. There is no comparison between Christianity and these movements of hate. Whether they should have done so or not, the person who did this placed a symbol of locve on that circle, a commemoration of a man allowing Himself to be tortured to death so that others might live.

No. An empty cross made of railroad ties and left lying across a rock is a passive, nonviolent and non-threatening symbol. This one could easily be removed without damage to the area or anyone. While there have been Christians who were threatening toward pagans, there is no reason to assume that Christianity is a danger to any pagan today.

The swastika is only associated with the Nazi Party which perpetrated the Holocaust. If it were to be “thrown” as a piece of cloth, it would not damage the area or anyone physically, but there is no way to associate it with anything other than an attempt to annihilate Jews.
