Uprising: Scott Brown got his demand to be sworn in early as the 41st Republican senator, and elected officials everywhere Democrat and Republican will soon find out how much has changed.
It was insult added to injury. Sen. Scott Brown, R-Mass., not only gets the late Teddy Kennedy's seat, held by Democrats since the Anchisaurus ruled Brown's hometown of Wrentham during the early Jurassic period. But because they don't want to move another senator's digs, Democrats are giving him the luxurious Kennedy suite of offices in the Russell Building, the nicest of the three Senate office blocks across the street from the Capitol.
This unlikely election in the bluest of states of an economic conservative, who staunchly embraced "kiss of death" policies like the enhanced interrogation of terrorists, is doing to this country's political landscape what the earthquake did to Port-au-Prince.
Yes, it signals big trouble for Democrats this November and that holds whether they abandon health reform, ram it down America's throat, or save face by passing a scaled-down version.

Is JD Hayworth taking donations yet and is he in? I get McCain sh*t in the mail all the time. I want to start sending them J.D. Hayworth contribution checks.
Charlie Crist should be toast unless Dems vote in the FL primary.

holy crap..he gets Ted’s office????????????? Why didn’t Kerry want to move?
Make them out in honor of Sarah Palin.
They must all be choking on the idea of U.S. Senator Scott Brown in that office. He has the People’s Seat...not ted.
Maybe they’re attempting to butter him up.
Rino Scott Brown running sacred? You'da thunk it! Good to hear!
did a little surfing..it looks like he will just have it for the year and then it will go to by Seniority. So who would be the most Senior person? Byrd???
Donate to SarahPAC! I did twice.
Because they think they are getting it back in a couple of years.
The Senate leadership decided not to set off a game of musical chairs.
At the beginning of each Congress, vacant office space can be claimed by Senators on the basis of seniority. (Senators who wish to stay put may do so.) Many of the offices are pedestrian and many Senators settle for proximity to the floor and/or their main committee rooms. The really neat spaces, however, highly coveted.
I've never been in Kennedy's old office, but since he had held that seat for 684 years I imagine that he had one of the showplaces. The problem is, were it to be opened up, a senior Senator would would grab it, thus opening yet another premium spot once he moved. That would in turn be grabbed by the next senior Senator who wanted to move, and so on and on and on and on.
This would not be just a matter of moving one or two offices around; a considerable number of Senators, and hundreds of staffers, might end up moving before it was done. It would take a couple of months. With less than nine months to go before the election, it's not worth it.
Since when, pray tell, did the RATS or the Kennedy's purchased the office?? When did they buy it?? BELONGS, belongs...ughhhhhh...IT'S THE PEOPLE'S HOUSE DAMN IT...P-E-0-P-L-E-S house!!! WE THE TAXPAYERS own the damn HOUSE!! NOT the RATS, certainly NOT the Kennedy's or the republicans either! THE PEOPLE!! It's mine, yours, the American folk!!
Very impressive spokesman. He is probably one of the most intelligent senators. Handled the msm very well.
Took no bulldroppings from the gotcha crowd of jackals asking questions.
He has left no one in doubt that he will speak his mind.....in a classy way!!
.
Bingo!
Dear John McCain, I was going to send you a check but I got together with a gang of 14 and after moderation we decided not to.
Oy. This is beginning to sound almost messianic.
And the word picture isn't exactly pleasant, either.
“They must all be choking on the idea of U.S. Senator Scott Brown in that office. He has the Peoples Seat...not ted.”
Did anyone bother to point out to Scott that all three of the brothers who once occupied his Senate office are all dead and two were assassinated? (supposedly by madmen)
