So who at NBC thought it would be a good idea for the special today to be, among other things, fried chicken, in honor of Black History Month?
Because, spoiler alert it wasnt a good idea at all. And now NBCU employee Questlove is bringing it to the attention of his 1 million plus Twitter followers.
Questlove, the band leader and drummer for The Roots (the house band on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon) tweeted this picture from the NBC Commissary at 30 Rock, with the comment: Hmm HR?

Wow! What happened to her? She use to be cute!
In actuality you are right, but “Burned Chicken” doesn’t quite look as appetizing on a menu................
Been listening to Brother Dave Gardner havent you!;-)
I remember him - oops I have told my age! But, being from the Greater New Orleans Area we heard that all the time growing up. Yum a cold, cold RC Cokcola would be nice about now ;)
Oh! I’m so glad you enjoyed that. At least you’re not a mackerel-snappin’ linguini-slurpin’ goombah guinea greaseball guido dago eytie wop.
My grandfather fried the best chicken. I can almost get it right, but not quite.
The crust is important. Not too crunchy, not too soft. But just right. Flour, salt, pepper & Crisco shortening. Iron skillet. REAL mashed potatoes with gravy from the drippings is a must. Otherwise the meal is incomplete.
[Perfect mashed potatoes must have a few lumps scattered throughout. None of that whipped, baby food crap.]

I cook a good fried chicken, almost as good as Mama’s, in her Iron skillet, one of 3 iron skillets in the family 65 years, now MINE and I still use them!!
Fried in Crisco, homemade mashed taters and gravy! A good salad to go with it! Man I’m hungry!
Stramge. Wasn’t there more photos on this thread yesterday?
