Greece is burning - literally and figuratively. Teh rest of Europe will follow, and no one will be more surprised than they will be. Given the history of the entire 20th century, Europeans have such a fine track record of humanitarian philosophy, values and civility, don’t you think?

Yeah, greeks aren’t really that into government austerity.
This’ll be another good excuse (not that they need one) to call strikes and paralyze their economy. Although how could you tell, really.

Wasn’t it Mark Steyn that pointed out the absurdity of tax collectors responding to tax cuts by not collecting taxes?
it is a question of priorities.
back in the 1990’s there were protests in the streets over forced nightclub closings at 2am
also
the afternoon siesta where stores in a municipality (except for very specific exceptions) MUST close between 2:30 and 5pm is THE LAW.
