Oh, goody. Let's eat our own again, just like we did in 2006 and 2008. Maybe we can still snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

If Palin isn't conservative enough, no viable candidate is.

Yeah, ok. I saw that interview and the way it is presented here is misleading. In that interview, she was clear that she is against illegal immigration...

Anyway...

I have to say that as irritating as they are, the Palin-haters have actaully done me a favor. Every time they come here with lies or half-truths, it makes me dig deeper to find out the truth. And in doing so I often find something new about her, either that she did or said that impresses me even more. In fact it was the false rumors that caused me to go buy her book a few months back and what a blessing that was!

I hope she runs for prez or vice prez, as it is now, she has my full support. There are a few other conservatives I also like, and wouldn’t mind running but so far they just don’t stand out like she does, or have an air of “career politician” about them (doesn’t make them bad, but might make them less of a trailblazer than Sarah). I also like that she is not afraid to express her faith in God to millions of viewers/readers, no matter what it could do to her politically.

So anyway, go Sarah!

She is talking about legal immigration and she stresses that more than once. I notice however that you only highlighted the parts that you thought made her sound pro-illegal, which she is not.

WTH you babbling on about?
This is from a 2 week old interview, and you decide to post it here today, in order to cause mischief, long after it's been posted several times right after the interview?
What is wrong with legal immigration then?

Making the process easier for legal immigrants is hardly a radical idea. You really need to stop hanging on every word and article concerning conservatives. All this paranoia is self-defeating.

" I think we need to recognize that again, immigrants built this great country. There are rules to follow if you want to be a part of this great country."

People who immigrated here in the past are different from those who arrive now. They came here for a reason. They didn't ask for the rules to be changed for them. They learned the language and worked. Soon some started their own businesses etc., built communities. They weren't looking for hand outs or freebies. They worked for everything they had, and were proud of it.

Those that arrive now get everything handed to them on a silver platter. They know how to work the system. They are following the rules. It's the rules that are messed up.

Meanwhile we are made to feel like foreigners in our own country. We are supposed to cave to their every wish, learn their language etc. We have to adapt to them.

Bob Dylan has the same problem. Everyone wants him to be what they want him to be. Guess you'll just be unhappy.

I like legal immigration. I just want those here illegally to be ineligible to ever participate.

I have utterly no problem with legal immigration. None.

People have fallen into a trap. Illegals in the US has nothing to do with immigration. They are criminals and should not be confused with law abiding aliens.

I'm for leniency in the case of simple mistakes like accidental day or two overstays, but that is a whole different ballgame. Working while illegal is not a simple mistake and deserves no consideration.
