Disappointed With Sarah, Again
Vanity | 2/4/09

Posted on 02/04/2010 9:35:43 AM PST by dangus

Sarah endorses INCREASING immigration with Glenn Beck:

PALIN: Let me address legal immigration and we need to continue to be so welcoming and inviting of those who are represented there by our Statue of Liberty. The immigrants, of course, built this country. And I think republicans, conservatives are at fault when we allow the other side to capture this immigration issue and try to turn this issue into something negative for republicans. I think we need to recognize that again, immigrants built this great country. There are rules to follow if you want to be a part of this great country. Let's make sure people are following the rules. But let's welcome this.

BECK: Do you agree with me make the door wider and make it easier to bring people in, you know, Bill Gates said, I have a hard time keeping people here because it's so complex. Make, just streamline it and make it easier for people to come in the right way.

PALIN: Every part of bureaucracy needs to be streamlined, absolutely. And people do need to come in the right way. They cannot take advantage of what this country has to offer. The opportunities, the help that is here, they need to do this legally

When Gov. Palin endorsed Sen. John McCain, I was forgiving, because they had been part of a team. But Palin has also endorsed Sen. Lindsey Graham, the man whose hatred for conservatives and grassroots is exceeded in the Republican Party only by Sen. Arlen Specter. Oh, wait...

I'm not saying Gov. Palin is evil, liberal, or statist. But I've been pleading with people to find out what she actually stands for before they stampede to someone based on their personality and/or presence. Maybe she can still be reached, but I'm developing severe concerns we may be on the threshold of lunging headlong to yet another candidate who doesn't represent the conservative viewpoint.

Again, I emphasize she's not necessarily bad, but we should find out exactly how she stands on:

Another stupid vanity from an interview that took place awhile back.

There is nothing new here. She focused on legal immigration, but noted LEGAL.

Conservatives need to wake the heck up!

Since you were called an effing troll by the owner of this site you won't get you far with your anti-Palin diatribes here.

Way to debate, btw........

Well newbie, I guess you have been watching and listening to the wrong channels if you are clueless about what Sarah Palin is bringing to the political dialogue. I suggest you get a clue.

I also noted the reasons for concern that she isn’t merely talking about legal immigration, but also an amnesty

Good grief. Nowhere in what you posted does she say anything about amnesty or anything even close to amnesty, she said they should come in legally. Why do you post that crap? It only makes you look foolish.

Why did you highlight Beck’s claim that she endorsed Graham?

You know that isn’t true, right?

It’s amazing how Palin draws the Trolls. They hate her so much they can’t help themselves.

>> To the immigrants who play by the rules, welcome to America, now speak English! <<

Most all of the ones who do play by the rules do speak English, even if it is broken engli8sh and they damn well make sure their children speak English, unlike those who come illegally, those who come legally (since they had to invest effort and patience getting here) they are more likely to assimilate and integrate into society.

Legal Immigration = Good!

Illegal Immigration = Bad, because they are breaking the law.

Put it this way....

We're likely looking at a field of Gingrich, Pawlenty, Romney, Huckabee and Palin.

Whom would be your choice from these or whom would you consider the best conservative choice?

I look at it this way. Individuals tend to say things they wouldn't as a Presidential candidate. I'll wait to see who is running before I make a decision, especially since the Presidential election is more than one and a half years from now.

“Palin: The immigrants, of course, built this country. And ..... I think we need to recognize that again, immigrants built this great country”

Sarah, Sarah, Sarah. NO, IMMIGRANTS did NOT build this country! There were 4 or 5 ‘immigrants’ who were founding fathers. American citizens built it and fought for it FAR more than ‘immigrants’ever did. Sarah needs a history lesson.
And THOSE immigrants wanted freedom, not to be coddled from cradle to grave like the current ones.

And before someone posts the LARs Larson interview, where he led her anyway he could away from amnesty, she STILL stated “ not allow this generous amnesty that the Democrats are proposing.”......what kind, Sarah, the John McCAin kind of amnesty??

And for ‘legal immigration’. Evidently she doesn’t have a clue how many come in ‘legally’...with the visas, etc, it’s well over 4 million a year. How many does she think we should take in??? And from where??? Fairbanks, Alaska is even trying to deal with their gang problem!

Makes you wonder what she actually does read.

Survey to determine scope of Fairbanks gang problem (Fairbanks, AK): Fairbanks leaders will conduct a citywide survey later this month to determine the extent of local gang activity.

I agree that she is in the press headlights, but she was the VP nominee. I don’t think you can decide to follow someone based on how badly they are treated by the press. Else we should elect Rush Limbaugh, since they treat him the worst of all. I just want to know what it is about her that make so many think she should be the President. I think she’s terrific, but I think that about a great many women (and men) who are conservatives. That doesn’t mean they should be President.

Goldstate is no troll, but does have an attitude about which several of the founders warned as being a sure path to self destruction.

Sarah is not taking advice from goldstate. It would be better to have his support, and have him park his pitchfork...

I have noticed on here that a lot of people really like Mrs. Palin. Could someone explain the main reasons why she is so popular as a political leader?

She actually believes what she say's...yes Ive met her and she does. Believe it or not, shes really not in this for money....or fame. The proverbial anti politician.

But can you not capsulize it for me? I know that she’s been in the spotlight like someone else said but that’s just politics. I don’t want to know about her politics, I want to know what makes her special to so many here. This is an honest question. Yes I am a newbie though I have read this site for a long time. Does that mean I can’t ask an honest question? Pretend I don’t know who I would vote for and you want to convince me to vote for Mrs. Palin. What are your reasons?

No , she agrees with most of his positions, not all , as she stated during the Presidential campaign. I bet you would be ripping into her as a phony and disloyal bitch if she turned McCains request down now wouldn’t you? You know you would.

She’s the most conservative candidate we have out there who has a real shot at beating the human rectum, Barack Obama. Look at the record. It’s plain as day.
