Sarah endorses INCREASING immigration with Glenn Beck:
PALIN: Let me address legal immigration and we need to continue to be so welcoming and inviting of those who are represented there by our Statue of Liberty. The immigrants, of course, built this country. And I think republicans, conservatives are at fault when we allow the other side to capture this immigration issue and try to turn this issue into something negative for republicans. I think we need to recognize that again, immigrants built this great country. There are rules to follow if you want to be a part of this great country. Let's make sure people are following the rules. But let's welcome this. When Gov. Palin endorsed Sen. John McCain, I was forgiving, because they had been part of a team. But Palin has also endorsed Sen. Lindsey Graham, the man whose hatred for conservatives and grassroots is exceeded in the Republican Party only by Sen. Arlen Specter. Oh, wait...BECK: Do you agree with me make the door wider and make it easier to bring people in, you know, Bill Gates said, I have a hard time keeping people here because it's so complex. Make, just streamline it and make it easier for people to come in the right way.
PALIN: Every part of bureaucracy needs to be streamlined, absolutely. And people do need to come in the right way. They cannot take advantage of what this country has to offer. The opportunities, the help that is here, they need to do this legally
I'm not saying Gov. Palin is evil, liberal, or statist. But I've been pleading with people to find out what she actually stands for before they stampede to someone based on their personality and/or presence. Maybe she can still be reached, but I'm developing severe concerns we may be on the threshold of lunging headlong to yet another candidate who doesn't represent the conservative viewpoint.
Again, I emphasize she's not necessarily bad, but we should find out exactly how she stands on:
and it’s not easy being green.
>> She is FOR Legal immigration - AGAINST illegal!
You’re correct.
I understand dangus’ disappointment, but there seems to be a misunderstanding that Palin’s support for the RINOs translates to her support for their policies.
Palin did well in the Beck interview regarding policy substance.
Ok thanks.
Calling Sarah Palin "a complete ignoramus and a fraud" is right out of the Alinsky playbook and proves Jim Robinson's labeling you a troll was correct.
Trolls like you hope to divide the conservative movement now led, for all practical purposes, by Sarah Palin. You know there will always be those who, while holding conservative values, will insist on some litmus test of 'conservative purity' that no rational person can ever meet, thus, they'll find a 'flaw' in any human being that is presented as a conservative leader and in the process, possibly damage that persons credibility with other conservatives and render the conservative movement either leaderless or dangerously divided at a time in our nation's history when conservatism is badly needed as socialist politicians attempt to usurp our people's freedoms and impoverish them through totalitarian government masquerading as 'progressive'.
In Sarah Palin's case, you eagerly adopt the leftist meme that the woman is 'ignorant' and add that her endorsement (for a 5th term) of John McCain, the man who chose her as his running mate in the 2008 presidential election instantly disqualifies her as a conservative leader. Nice try, no cigar, bucko.
The hysterical argument that Palin's position on immigration (she wants immigrants to come to American legally) is either pro-amnesty or a sneaky way of not really taking a stand on immigration both fall flat when her comments are viewed without the leftist, hate-Palin bias you bring every time the name Sarah Palin comes up.
Sarah Palin is a politician - an honest one. Some folks just don't know what to do with that. Obviously, you're one of them. Too bad. She is not stupid. 18 straight months of leftist Palin-bashing and endless attempts to find 'dirt' to use to smear her name and reputation have come to naught. Sarah Palin isn't perfect and she may make some errors along the way to what I hope is the presidency of the United States in 2012, but her honesty and integrity will see her through and all the sneers, lies and hysterical, hand wagging nonsense from both the left and never-satisfied 'conservatives' will not alter her path.
Those who admire her do so on the basis of her conservative political and social principles and her honesty, not her appearance, as the Palin detractors always try to claim. I'm sick of 'conservatives' declaring that anyone who admires Sarah Palin does so only because she is somewhat attractive. That's an insult to Palin and her supporters. The trolls that infest FR are becoming truly disruptive but they will have little-to-no effect on the political career of Sarah Palin and they won't divide the conservative movement. Despite what the left so dearly wants to believe, conservatives are not knuckle-dragging Troglodytes and we know phony 'conservatives' when we see them posting hate-Palin diatribes that they copy and paste from leftist websites. Any actual conservatives agreeing with such tripe are sadly misguided. I suspect those are few.
While I can understand conservatives being cautious about wholeheartedly endorsing Sarah Palin for president almost 3 years before the next presidential election, this kind of nonsense (labeling her an amnesty supporter) is simply fallacious and a few seconds spent reading the transcript proves it. Give it up.
I thought newts were reptiles? The character that opined about the relative efficacy of his verdant chromatics was an amphibian.
>> If this gets him off her back come 2012, it’s still a good chess move.
Well, she owes McCain nothing in my opinion. She and her family sacrificed enough already.
*snicker*
Why did you highlight Becks claim that she endorsed Graham?
You know that isnt true, right?
“Sarah Palin does NOT share John McCain’s views on immigration. “
Wishful thinking. She says she does! Are we not to believe her?
PALIN: . We - our policy - John McCain has been so clear with his policy and it makes a lot of sense too. We secure our borders first. But then with a comprehensive approach we must deal humanely with those who are here, and we must allow the steps to be taken to protect the families of those who are here, maybe as illegal immigrants today.....

Yup! I think you just won the Kewpie!!!
I guess time will tell that tale. I certainly wouldn’t mind seeing McCain forced into retirement. He’s been there too long and has been too much of a disappointment.
Reptiles are notoriously bad at science, that's why they sell auto insurance.
Just another troll who doesn’t tell us who he or she is shilling for.
Sorry, but your new found friend and kindred soul, is no longer with us.
At least you are up front and without the hate ranting
>> She is playing The Shrewd Servant, I think: <<
Her only SarahPac recipients that I can find:
Murkowski
McCain
Graham
Gee, it’s too bad she’s not playing the shrewd servant to any conservatives.
I don’t know him/her.
Keep posting her statements when she was his running mate.
Sheeesh.
Sincere Thanks. I actually needed a good belly laugh.
