Disappointed With Sarah, Again
Vanity | 2/4/09

Posted on 02/04/2010 9:35:43 AM PST by dangus

Sarah endorses INCREASING immigration with Glenn Beck:

PALIN: Let me address legal immigration and we need to continue to be so welcoming and inviting of those who are represented there by our Statue of Liberty. The immigrants, of course, built this country. And I think republicans, conservatives are at fault when we allow the other side to capture this immigration issue and try to turn this issue into something negative for republicans. I think we need to recognize that again, immigrants built this great country. There are rules to follow if you want to be a part of this great country. Let's make sure people are following the rules. But let's welcome this.

BECK: Do you agree with me make the door wider and make it easier to bring people in, you know, Bill Gates said, I have a hard time keeping people here because it's so complex. Make, just streamline it and make it easier for people to come in the right way.

PALIN: Every part of bureaucracy needs to be streamlined, absolutely. And people do need to come in the right way. They cannot take advantage of what this country has to offer. The opportunities, the help that is here, they need to do this legally

When Gov. Palin endorsed Sen. John McCain, I was forgiving, because they had been part of a team. But Palin has also endorsed Sen. Lindsey Graham, the man whose hatred for conservatives and grassroots is exceeded in the Republican Party only by Sen. Arlen Specter. Oh, wait...

I'm not saying Gov. Palin is evil, liberal, or statist. But I've been pleading with people to find out what she actually stands for before they stampede to someone based on their personality and/or presence. Maybe she can still be reached, but I'm developing severe concerns we may be on the threshold of lunging headlong to yet another candidate who doesn't represent the conservative viewpoint.

Again, I emphasize she's not necessarily bad, but we should find out exactly how she stands on:

Us people? You mean you don't consider yourself a conservative?

It's a simple enough question: If you had your choice for a Presidential candidate in the upcoming 2012 election, who would it be?

Let's make it easy on you... Anyone currently alive today that would be eligible for the Office. Be they from business, academia, religion, or politics. Pick someone.

Here, I'll go first. I like Palin. Right now, she's my front runner. Someone more charismatic and more principled could come along over the next couple years. At that time, I'll re-evaluate my options.

See? Easy. Your turn.

Oh, goody. Let's eat our own again, just like we did in 2006 and 2008. Maybe we can still snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

If Palin isn't conservative enough, no viable candidate is.

Why is Mrs. Palin the choice to lead us?

There are others, but she stepped up and did the right thing (cleaning house in her own party when corruption was discovered) like I wish all of ours would do! Show me another individual with that kind of track record and a name known nationally.

did she say this before, during or after she was the VP nominee?

What's the difference? What does it say about her if she has one position before and another after?

American Revolution

A draftee could escape by paying a fine or finding a substitute; older men sent sons or younger brothers. The more established young men volunteered for war first; by 1777 it was the poor, the unemployed, immigrants, blacks, and drifters who entered the army.

Poland’s Contribution to the 1776 American Revolution

One of the most important players in the history of the American Revolution is also one of the most ignored and overlooked - a Polish immigrant.

Some of my first argument here on FR were about McCain vs. Bush and how I thought they were BOTH RINO's and entirely too "liberal" on Constitutional issues to be taken seriously.

After McCain-Feingold and a bunch of Moderate behavior by Bush (not repealing EO imposed firearms/ammo import bans with his own EO for example) kinda proved my correct.

This happens EVERY election cycle on FR.

Give the damn country to McCAin/Palin and enjoy your ‘nation of immigrants’

Sarah Palin does NOT share John McCain's views on immigration.

and your Ron Paul associates with everything from the NeoLeft to NeoNazies. With his anti war, anti Israel.

You NeoLeftist friend is an enemy to this country.

Don't look now SoCalPol but your ignorance is showing. Please show any comments of mine in the more than four and one half years I've been a freeper that shows any support for Paul. Assumptions only weaken your position.

Well, you're partly correct. I've never been a fan of the OP wing of the one Republicrat party system for the very reason we are seeing with Palin supporting a socialist kissing candidate like McAmensty. The rest of your comment is not any different from those who can't rationally defend Palin's association with a socialist light candidate. The Saul Alinsky tactic couldn't be more transparent.

Do you see what I meant when I posted this about Man50D?

Man50D sole goal is to defeat the OP (formerly GOP) to use Man50D’s giggling, effeminate saying, that he uses almost non stop.

He will not tell you which party that he supports (Democrats?), but he will do everything that he can to get you to not vote Republican.

Wrong again, Bonzo. I waited to see who YOU favored before I replied to you. Your intellectual cowardice in failing to put forth a candidate in whom you believe leaves you as no more than a heckler in the peanut gallery, with nothing to offer but empty shells.

But I’ll try again: who do you favor for the GOP nomination in 2012?

Your personal opinion is both important and relevant. It underscores a phenomenal loyalty to Palin.

I was referring to Palin supporters. It's amazing you make this incorrect assumption when the whole thread has been about Palin's association with socialist McAmnesty!

Yeah, ok. I saw that interview and the way it is presented here is misleading. In that interview, she was clear that she is against illegal immigration...

Anyway...

I have to say that as irritating as they are, the Palin-haters have actaully done me a favor. Every time they come here with lies or half-truths, it makes me dig deeper to find out the truth. And in doing so I often find something new about her, either that she did or said that impresses me even more. In fact it was the false rumors that caused me to go buy her book a few months back and what a blessing that was!

I hope she runs for prez or vice prez, as it is now, she has my full support. There are a few other conservatives I also like, and wouldn’t mind running but so far they just don’t stand out like she does, or have an air of “career politician” about them (doesn’t make them bad, but might make them less of a trailblazer than Sarah). I also like that she is not afraid to express her faith in God to millions of viewers/readers, no matter what it could do to her politically.

So anyway, go Sarah!

Because I support Hayworth in that particular election? I can't stand McCain. I only voted for him in the last election because he was smart enough to have a REAL conservative on the ticket with him.

All of this is a side issue. Sarah didn't say what is being implied. It isn't her position.

And yeah, she really is the best positioned Nationally to take on Zero in 2012. The rest have a lot of catching up to do in just name recognition alone.
