Disappointed With Sarah, Again
Vanity | 2/4/09

Posted on 02/04/2010 9:35:43 AM PST by dangus

Sarah endorses INCREASING immigration with Glenn Beck:

PALIN: Let me address legal immigration and we need to continue to be so welcoming and inviting of those who are represented there by our Statue of Liberty. The immigrants, of course, built this country. And I think republicans, conservatives are at fault when we allow the other side to capture this immigration issue and try to turn this issue into something negative for republicans. I think we need to recognize that again, immigrants built this great country. There are rules to follow if you want to be a part of this great country. Let's make sure people are following the rules. But let's welcome this.

BECK: Do you agree with me make the door wider and make it easier to bring people in, you know, Bill Gates said, I have a hard time keeping people here because it's so complex. Make, just streamline it and make it easier for people to come in the right way.

PALIN: Every part of bureaucracy needs to be streamlined, absolutely. And people do need to come in the right way. They cannot take advantage of what this country has to offer. The opportunities, the help that is here, they need to do this legally

When Gov. Palin endorsed Sen. John McCain, I was forgiving, because they had been part of a team. But Palin has also endorsed Sen. Lindsey Graham, the man whose hatred for conservatives and grassroots is exceeded in the Republican Party only by Sen. Arlen Specter. Oh, wait...

I'm not saying Gov. Palin is evil, liberal, or statist. But I've been pleading with people to find out what she actually stands for before they stampede to someone based on their personality and/or presence. Maybe she can still be reached, but I'm developing severe concerns we may be on the threshold of lunging headlong to yet another candidate who doesn't represent the conservative viewpoint.

Again, I emphasize she's not necessarily bad, but we should find out exactly how she stands on:

No , she agrees with most of his positions, not all , as she stated during the Presidential campaign.

That's a damning statement considering McAmnesty agrees with the socialists RATs on most of the issues.

I bet you would be ripping into her as a phony and disloyal bitch if she turned McCains request down now wouldn’t you?

On the contrary. I would have support her wholeheartedly if she didn't become his VP running mate and didn't endorse him against a more Conservative candidate.

She’s the most conservative candidate we have out there who has a real shot at beating the human rectum, Barack Obama. Look at the record.

When did she declare her candidacy?

Considering how weak the GOP is in California, why would we not think the official party line would be skewed left in their view of conservatism?

California is really a bad example. Proof of what harm the GOP
liberal “moderates” can do to a state. goldstategop should be ashamed by demonstrating political weakness.

Honestly, just because someone does not think she is A-team material, does not mean they “hate” anyone or that they are a troll. Why are you so opposed to debate, or even a simple disagreement by a fellow freeper? I don’t understand all the anger over this issue. 2012 is a long way off.

>> she is head and shoulders above ALL THE REST

If this were true, then our troubles would be worse than we understand them to be.

http://www.ontheissues.org/House/John_Thune.htm Sounds ok. Sarah is a nudge better on RKBA issues and free markets, but I'd be ok with Thune if he wins the Primary. I haven't heard him speak, so I have no idea what he comes across like.

I'll wait and see on that one I guess. Until then, Sarah is still my top contender.

HHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHHAA

That's a no, in case you're still not sure.

In fact, I wouldn't vote for him- PERIOD. He's a RINO flip flopper who changes his views for political expediency.

Sad that you need to throw up the protective shield when providing sincere criticism.

But I agree, she’s a wonderful person.

Pay attention. I wasn’t talking about ‘Indians’ and you know it. But, as a matter of fact, many of them also fought for the USA side in more than one war.

And why do you suppose the founders were so intent on an ‘immigrant’ never being able to serve as president???

Crap, you people are just thick headed. Hell, why don’t we finish off the Indian and then get rid of any long time US citizen who isn’t a damned immigrant! We could really be successful then and REALLY be a nation of IMMIGRANTS!

NO, we are NOT great because of immigration. We are great because we love freedom and truth...and that is NOT what the current crop of migrant squatters are bringing us!

And you can’t read, so you surely can’t debate.

Good bye. I give up. Give the damn country to McCAin/Palin and enjoy your ‘nation of immigrants’.

She clearly does not support amnesty.

Think again. Sarah Palin breaks silence on border debate An excerpt from the linked article:

"There is no way that in the U.S. we would round up every illegal immigrant," she replied. "There are about 12 million of the illegal immigrants – not only economically is that just an impossibility, but that's not a humane way anyway to deal with the issue that we face with illegal immigration."

This is a cop out. She knows full well all illegals would not have to be captured if our existing immigration laws were strictly enforced. Illegals would see the handwriting on the wall and leave before they were captured. Oklahoma passed similar strict legislation and the illegals hightailed it out of Oklahoma. Palin is playing a game of semantics to appear she is against amnesty for illegals without outright making the claim.

did she say this before, during or after she was the VP nominee?

How does she stand on building the REAL fence?

I think most people are agreeable to secure the borders (FOR REAL) first and THEN address the illegals and NO SERIAL IMMIGRATION.

(also no Dream Act Amnesty)
