“Gloom, despair, and agony on me
Deep, dark depression, excessive misery
If it weren’t for bad luck, I’d have no luck at all
Gloom, despair, and agony on me”

RIP Mr Yamaguchi.

That’s one tough bastard right there. Gets nuked twice and still lives to 93.

That’s pretty parallel to what I was thinking.

It’s from Hee-Haw, a show from the 70s. It was sort of a funny song written by Buck Owens. I’m dating myself! lol.

LOL, that is about the last guess I would have made. I thought it was from this song, which include the lyrics "if it wasn't for bad luck, I wouldn't have no luck at all."

Fuchida, the swashbuckling aviator who led the attack on Pearl Harbor, personally saw the detonation of the atomic bomb at either Hiroshima or Nagasaki, from a transport plane he was flying in at the time.

He survived the war and became a Christian missionary.
