VALLEJO, CA (KGO) -- Dozens of teenagers saw it happen in broad daylight, but no one has come forward to identify the mob of young people who beat up a Vallejo city worker. Police have released surveillance video to generate tips.
(snip)
The city worker gets knocked down and eventually a crowd of up to 40 people begin beating the man while he is on the ground.
The victim, a 20-year city employee, was transported to Kaiser Permanente Medical Center Vallejo where he is being treated for his injuries. Police say the mob fractured his skull, broke his jaw and collarbone, and knocked several teeth out of his mouth.
On top of it all, they went through his pockets and stole his wallet, all while people cheered in front of another camera from a bystander who shot video.

Such mob attacks are increasing in frequency.
What's most troubling is that this is not just a few isolated thugs. 40 "people" took part in the attack, while a bunch more looked on cheering and video taping.
The entire community is sick. This is how animals behave, not civilized human beings.
Powder..patch..ball FIRE!
Draw pistol.
Fire!Fire!Fire!Fire!Fire!Fire!Fire!Fire!Fire!
Reload
Fire!Fire!Fire!Fire!Fire!Fire!Fire!Fire!Fire!
Run like H@ll...
Execute anyone involved.
(see if it happens again in the same community)
We all know what to do with out of control animals, don't we?
Pack some heat.
It’s not about increasing police. How about we go vigillante on these morons? We find a few of them splattered in the streets and one of two things will happen; they will stop for fear of being killed by just citizens or they will move on to other neighborhoods. Repeat step 1 everywhere they go and tada - crime stops.
Tax payers?
This one does not sound like the Amish ... must be Quakers.
Rampaging Amish kids again, I presume?
“But the police have seen budget cuts reduce the force from 150 to about 100 officers. They are looking for help.”
The city should fund a training program (that requires a back ground check) for any person living in that town. The training would be free and if you pass the b/g check, you get a permit to carry a concealed weapon and will be encouraged to do so. Once enough “good” guys are armed, the “bad” guys will get the message. And yes, it will be bloody and get radically worse before it gets better. Of course, that is going to happen anyway.
I don’t disagree but we both know the shooter will get the heavy jail time while the misunderstood youths will get a slap on the hand.
Ping
Which is why you should always carry an automatic will a large capacity magazine.
If he had, the article title would read “Vallejo city worker fends off brutal attack, 40 dead or injured”.
And after enough cases of the same, these animals would finally regard mob attacks as a ‘bad thing to do’.
I think you are correct. Definitely not Amish m.o., but reeks of Quakers.
Without reading the story, or the thread, let me guess. This was a group of Icelandic youth on a rampage?
Sarc/off
It’s about time to start thinking about “helping” the police take out the trash. These packs of wolves are showing up in cities everywhere and the more they are not held accountable the more they feel untouchable to do it again.
Ping Chet99?
Been pockets of areas in the Bay Area/East Bay for decades.
Just the Grandchildren of uncivil angry monkies doing the beatings now.
SOOOOO glad I left with my son 25yrs ago as I grew up with these animal types and no way was I going to expose my son to that esp him being a quad and easy target.
I use to help another WC bound fellow who could drive his WC down to SunValley mall and he was used to getting robbed. This was 25yrs ago.
Hopefully this article will get some attention of the Mayor, for whatever good that will do.
I think the store manager having a file of videos on assorted crimes was a good citizen in stepping up with that info.
I am thinking the manager has a shot gun handy and the punks know not to mess with him.
BTW he said the kids drink E&J.
What is E&J?
