The Massachusetts secretary of state has delivered certified election results attesting to Scott Brown's U.S. Senate victory, moving him toward his swearing-in.
Gov. Deval Patrick is expected to sign the official certification form at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow, allowing Brown to be sworn in as scheduled on Feb. 11.
Lt. Gov. Timothy Murray says Brown could be sworn in earlier if U.S. Senate officials agree. The later date gives Brown time to hire a staff and complete preparations for his new job.

~~DING !
And he will mail the certificate which will arrive in D.C. sometime next week.
Brown should fly it to D.C. personally.
The Senate has already said he has to wait until Feb 11.
The illegally voting non-Senator might still help get some kind of healthcare bill through.
How many Bills will the Democrats attempt to pass before Brown is seated?
Scott Brown Got Late Push From Wall Street
Financial firms poured $450,000 into his Senate campaign
###
In the 6 days before the special election for US senator from Massachusetts, employees of financial companies gave a whopping $450,000 to Scott Brown. The donations came just after President Obama proposed a fee on Wall Streets biggest players to help pay back lost TARP funds.
The influx of cash to the GOP candidate could portend a major push to both kill financial regulation and elect Republicans this fall, the Boston Globe reports.
Brown never told voters where he stood on the financial regulation legislation currently before Congress, but he said he was against regulation in general.
He came out squarely against the fee on big banks, saying, We already have enough taxation. Asked if hed be influenced by the donations, he replied, Im not aware of who gave me what, cause I was just doing my job.

Limbaugh just reported Brown wants the votes certified by 11:00am tommorow. A number of votes are scheduled next week.
Brown should fly it to D.C. personally.
I prefer a fax to Fedex, and either should work in this instance.
I don’t see the need to lionise this guy. He’s better than the democrat. That’s good. But polls putting him up as a pres. candidate are insane.
That’s it now. The national Scott Brown story is over. It’s a local issue for MA now.
We beat them in Ted Kennedy’s seat. Have a cheers & move on.
No later date. He can answer his own phone the first few days. Just get Kirk out of that seat NOW!
What we have with Kirk is a man who is not a Senator by law, casting votes. He should be charged with impersonating a U.S. Senator and all those who allowed him to vote as a Senator should be charged as accessories.
I agree.
Is there a gallery for citizens to view what goes on in the Senate? If so, a group of people need to scatter themselves throughout the gallery, and once the senate comes to order, stand up, one-by-one, and chant “Seat Brown Now” and don’t stop until the capital police escort you out. Then the second one can start, etc. It’s time to take our country BACK!
Who cares about the personal story. We care about the 60th vote to stop that “health” bill on capitol hill. Until he is sworn in he can’t do that. That story is important. We aren’t moving on until he is sworn in.
OTOH,Scott Brown is guaranteed to be seated sometime in February. But the RATS in charge of the process won't specify which year.

Senator Brown on the Line [Kathryn Jean Lopez]
###
Boston radio presence Michael Graham shares a morning surprise:
You wanna know why deep-blue Massachusetts elected Republican Scott Brown to fill Kennedys term in the US Senate? You heard it on my show today.
Im in the middle of some rant or another, and my producer tells me that Scott Brown is on the line. I didnt have a scheduled interview, but Im always happy to have him on.
So I put him on the air and I quickly realize that he wasnt expecting to be interviewed. So what was he doing on my phone?
It turns out that Sen-elect Brown had taken time out of his insanely busy schedule to call my producer about a fundraiser for the Fisher House Boston that he and his daughter participated in a few weeks ago.
One of the donors who was supposed to get one of Aylas CDs as a thank-you gift for donating to Fisher House hadnt gotten his. So Sen.-Elect Brown called in to follow up on that one CD.
One CD for some guy Scott Brown will probably never meet.
Thats Scott Brown. He also joked around about SNL and how hes not sure what to do when he finally does meet Speaker Pelosi and Sen. Boxer (Should I wink? Should I dance?).
He assured listeners that he expects to be sworn in at 12:45pm on February 11th, but is on the lookout for any chicanery.
In other words, hes the same guy that spend months driving his pick-up across the Commonwealth. Thats the political power behind Scott Brown.

Senator-elect Scott Brown this afternoon sent a letter to governor Deval Patrick and Secretary State William Galvin, requesting them to certify without delay the results of the Jan. 19 special election.
In a letter written by his legal counsel, Daniel B. Winslow, Brown said he wanted the results certified no later than 11 a.m. Thursday so that he can deliver a copy to the Secretary of the United States Senate in time to be administered the oath of office by Thursday afternoon.
As recently as Tuesday, aides to Brown and the Senate leadership said officials were aiming for a Feb. 11 swearing-in.
Gov. Deval Patrick is expected to sign the official certification form at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow, allowing Brown to be sworn in as scheduled on Feb. 11.
Thats mighty white of him.
True, but Brown carrying the certificate immediately to D.C. could make a big statement and guarantee nothing “got misplaced” due to a “slight indiscretion”.
