. No matter what the problem, all we have to do is throw more federal money at it and magically it is solved.

B/BS knows throwing more money at the problem will not resolve our financial problems. His sole intent with taking the people's money is to expand government per his socialist agenda. He is using the Cloward-Piven Strategy to accomplish this goal.

Sorry but I don’t agree that we are in a free country.

I grew up in a free country but that is all that is left with the exception of the “illusion” that we are free that remains.

Just in case anyone is interested in my opinion - a (not born here) American - a terrified America lover who sees that we are getting nowhere - here it is:

First: a terrible speech full of lie, given by an angry sociopath and he goes up 12 points - meaning that American people, for the most part, are stupid enough to not help to save the country from this man. I don't trust the American Spirit anymore. Got all excited because we won 3 elections...see what they voted for just this last week in Congress..and Bernanke reelected. They are simply laughing at us because they see that, even after all the noise in the townhalls and teaparties - they are still passing anything they want. They are just laughing at us for our very very small victories that we are so proud of and then we go back to sleep.

Second: Kirk in MA is still voting: the guy was an interim senator, therefore his right to vote ended the day of the elections - he is still voting even though everybody was saying that we would be on the steps of the Capitol if Brown was not seated in the senate the day after he won. Where is the outrage now ??? None from the republican in Congress - nobody went to the Capitol and Brown is happy to talk on Leno while Kirk is the 60th vote for several BAD votes in the senate since he lost the election. And we blog...

Third: Very few people talked about Lech Walesa - Rush a little bit - Walesa was here to give us a warning (this man is a hero in Europe) - that America is lost if we don't react very fast. Nobody is reacting or standing up. He knows. He knows we are loosing it and he told us.

Fourth: Here is so many things happening right now - like this form where children have to read Alinski in school. Where is the REAL revolt and real move or vote to stop that? We blog..

Fifth: Gays in the Military??? If you don't think our "normal" soldiers are not going to be arrested for "discrimination" every time a gay guy will panic in front of the enemy and will risk the life of our soldiers and some of our soldiers will be angry - think again - the "normal" soldier - the one who was almost killed - will be the one who will go to jail for "discrimination" against a "minority" Our army is also dead - the US Army is also dead. PC killed it - last example is Ft Hood. And we blog...

Sixth: I don't see any republican in the Congress or Senate starting a true revolt against that destructive and foreign government. No revolt to seat Brown and have a filibuster right - they would not use it anyway because they are cowards and traitors themselves. - nothing at all - seems to me that they are all in to destroy America. No revolt when they see NASA defunded. No revolt when they see that Russia is testing new planes and we are cutting defense budget. NOBODY reacted to the fact that yesterday a test anti missile DID NOT WORK - an American anti missile did not work ...we blog

We are loosing it on every single front - Education, Defense, Budget, War on terror...they are succeeding at destroying America from within WITHOUT A PEEP from anyone! I see the image in my head of a big strong balloon getting smaller and smaller and going down and down, slowly so nobody really notice the balloon is smaller.

I have been saying and warning everybody since a while now on Fr at the risk of passing for a nutjob - from someone like me who knows socialism/marxism because I come from Europe. I had a sudden big hope with the elections lately, but I lost my hope for the reason I showed above. These new elections are useless. I know you don't agree but I am just telling you. Brown will sign stuff with the democrats very certainly, like McCain, like all the others. I don't see any true revolt or true strong movement from the elected officials to finally stand up and say: that's enough - we got to stop that guy - he is destroying our country. I don't see that anywhere - I am talking facts.

All the judges are corrupt or liberals, which means the same to me - more and more Americans are getting help from the government - therefore will always vote democrats from now on - more and more government workers with the size of government growing every day - they will also always vote democrats from now on - and that is exactly how you succeed with communism. More assisted people - more vote for them. And..voila...That's the ultimate plan.

Everything which is voted now will be awfully hard to remove, or may never be removed. The Army, the schools, the debts, the entitlements, the growth of government, welfare, healthcare...we are done...that's it. They will pass healthcare in little bits in other bills - opening hundreds more government offices with thousands of more gov workers - Graham wants cap and trade..

We are loosing our country and Paul Revere is nowhere to be seen.

I’m signing on to your letter. He IS an idiot. And he is crushing the American independent spirit just as fast he and his creepy cabal of socialists are able. How long do we have to wait to impeach this nutcase for his economic stupidity, his lack of concern for our security and his failure to uphold his oath of office?

We are still a free country

Not when we have to undergo a strip-search at the airports, we're not. They can call it "virtual", but there's nothing "virtual" about it. When they can see under your clothes, that's an actual strip-search.

If the Commerce Clause were truly intended to be a "blank check", then Congress could theoretically legislate any area of our lives. Even purely intrastate activities can be theorized (and have been) to have ripple effects on commerce in other states.

In spite of some truly awful Supreme Court decisions (beginning in the 1940's after FDR threatened to pack the Court with socialists), that's not what the Founders intended. Likewise, the "General Welfare" clause. Powers granted to the Federal Government's branches were "enumerated" for a reason. Otherwise, why bother to spell them out and explicitly reserve all other powers "to the states or to the people"?

I have never heard a liberal answer that question well, or honestly. They cannot because as our Founders knew, our rights come from God; we loan power to the government to protect those rights, not to rule us.

There was a time when the medical profession had much more respect among the populace than they do now. I think the coldness of the medicare/medicaid bureaucracies and the layers of bureaucrats have soured people on medicine and it practice. Abortion and euthanasia have also made people cynical about modern medicine. Obama will further all of these dehumanizing problems.CushingWpatient
