Former Rep. J.D. Hayworth (R-Ariz.) is moving forward with a potentially explosive primary challenge to Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), filing the paperwork to create a Senate campaign committee.
Hayworth has established the J.D. Hayworth 2010 committee, according to documents processed on Jan. 29.

97+ percent ACU rating...I'd think so.
This is one of the seats I want most. There are probably about 20 Dems in the House I would support over McCain. He is easily the definition of “with friends like these, who needs enemies.”

I was doing some research on Hayworth (and I like what I’m seeing about him) when I came across a comment someone made on another website from back in November.

Do you know anything about that? His record doesn’t make him appear to be soft on illegals.
wish i were an Arizonian... I vote for JD so fast, McCain’s jaws wold be flappin in the wind.
..I think all that JDH’s people have to do is keep running an ad with McCain saying we had nothing to fear from an Obama presidency...
I have a visceral dislike of McCain. I think most Floridians do not hate idiot Crist but Crist is sinking in the polls.
Hopefully people in AZ will dump their garbage in Juan McQueeg.
And white people aren’t strong enough to pick lettuce....at $50.00 an hour!!
