Pakistan Taliban Chief Reportedly Killed in U.S. Drone Strike
Fox News/Associated Press ^ | January 31, 2010 | Staff

The head of the Taliban in Pakistan, Hakimullah Mehsud, was killed in a U.S. drone attack, Pakistan state television reported Sunday.

The report stated Mehsud had been injured in a drone attack in the Shaktoi area January 14 and died three days later. He reportedly was buried in the village of Mamuzai in the North Waziristan region.

The Pakistani army said Sunday that it was investigating the reports.

The militant leader's death would be an important success for both Pakistan, which has been battling the Pakistani Taliban, and the U.S., which blames Mehsud for a recent deadly bombing against the CIA in Afghanistan.

Eric Holder and his law firm needs to be put on retainer by the Taliban. Then Obama needs to be charged with war crimes and failing to have a trial for this poor man and the other innocents falsely accused of being involved in unapproved activities.

We seem to have gotten beyond killing, "close associate" and "lieutenants".

Perhaps the war against the Taliban is getting some place.

From the number of times I have read about us killing the "Top Dog" in Pakistan, Iraq, etc., I suspect there is as much rank inflation in the reporting of who we got as there was number inflation in the body counts from Vietnam.

Not that I think we are doing a bad job. And, the one area where I have to give Obama credit is the increased use of drone attacks.

I suspect they fake their deaths and burials in hope of evading us.

Fox News just announced this too.

I’m certain another muzzie sheik is very upset with this coverage a his whahabi cohort:

Danny Schechter, a participant in the conference, reports that Al-waleed, who is a member of the Saudi Royal Family and investor in the Fox News parent company News Corporation, gave an interview boasting that he had called Fox to complain about coverage of the “Muslim riots” in France. He said he “called as a viewer” and “convinced them to change” the coverage because “they were not Muslim riots but riots against poverty and inequality.” And “they changed” the coverage, the Saudi reportedly said. Another report on the comments, carried by the Dubai-based newspaper the Khaleej Times, says that Al-waleed personally called Rupert Murdoch to complain. The Saudi said, “After a short while, there was a change” in the coverage.

Perhaps the coverage will be changed to “Muzzies protest inequality of propane tanks in pakistan.”

Murdoch will do anything for a buck. He probably needed al-Waleed to secure his recent purchases. However, if he wants to maintain the credibility of Fox News (and the Wall Street Journal) he cannot be seen to be kowtowing to his Saudi investors. This bears close scrutiny.

Excellent. According to the article, this guy was responsible for the recent CIA bombing. If true, this is major payback.

good point but it won’t be long before the guy who pushed the trigger will be arrested and charged. Not beyond the realm of possibility in this “brave new world”

Wanted, Taliban Chief:

Must have 10 years of practical experience convincing people to strap bombs to themselves, even to their shriveled genitals, and exploding themselves in the vicinity of evil Christians and Jews.

Well, since the Lyin’ King plans on closing Gitmo, there will be no real good place to keep them.

So NOW, we should make sure that they get really killed good and dead.

That will be best for all around.
